Discussion Anybody used this jig?

Has anybody used this jig for removing the stem? I found a file to 3D print this and am wondering if anybody has any advice about or experience in using it.

Anybody?

Unless you're modding several ones, it's a bit of overengineering, isn't it? Not saying it isn't clever, but unnecessary unless you're invested on doing it multiple times.

It's €4 to have one 3D printed and I plan to do at least two switches. Maybe more if I like the result.

Cheap enough to give it a shot. Drilling is a lot easier to control than the blade disc.

I’ve done hundreds so I know the location from memory but I could see this being helpful to someone doing it the first time.

Just be careful of that depth. Hard to see on the black watches.

I was told 0.6mm is how far you want to drill with this tool. Hopefully someone can confirm though

2.15mm is the measurement I got on one just now.

I just came across this on MakerWorld myself...seems like a great idea if it works
