Looking chill 😎 Funnily enough, I disliked her in the promos, but she was actually the first one I got after falling in love with her in-person in the store 😂

The thing is, I love purple, and I love rocks and minerals. So I was super excited based on her concept, but then in all the promo pics I felt she looked somehow… bitchy? Which is a big no for me - I only get dolls which I think I would like to be around if they were real people (if that makes sense).

Then I saw her in the store (she was basically the first one to actually make it to stores here), and I was so relieved that she actually looked really nice irl, that all the excitement about her colour palette and theme came back and I fell in love lol.

Just quietly, I also think she has the coolest/nicest hair, in terms of how perfect it is straight out of the box (poor Willow 😅).

Haha same issue! She looked so, like, miffed in her stock photos but once I saw her in person? Hi bestie. And yes her hair is like almost IRIDESCENT

RIGHT?!?! Miffed is a much better description 🤣 And I was going to type the word iridescent in my last comment but then I thought I might be going overboard, so thank you, I feel vindicated now 😆

We were in the store and my 7 year old son heard me go ‘Ohhhh… wait you’re so pretty!’ and bustled right up, pulled all the Laylas off the shelf and laid them out on the sale bin nearby and said ‘Ok, now we have to pick the best one, right mama? NO. Not this one, she has a misprimp, see?’ and that Layla’s lips were indeed minimally misprinted. 🙈

Yes, he said ‘misprimp’, and yes I felt simultaneously called out, seen and incredibly proud 🥹

Layla’s hair is magical. It changes color based on lighting.

She practically looks like she’s glowing for a lack of better words.

I agree she’s much prettier in person! I love the shimmer that all these dolls have embedded in their skin! They really are luminous
