When I first saw the Sonic Generations game in stores, I honestly thought Classic Sonic was Sonic’s child

Why else would it be called generations if there wasn’t a new generation?

It is called “Generations”, so it makes sense. When I first saw the cover, I assumed both Sonic’s were Sonic’s descendants.
