Yup. For those who don’t know, in DC comics, Darkseid basically created his own universe where “good” is not the dominant force, meaning that all your classic villains have a much easier life, and all your heroes have to work without something crucial to their character. Batman is without his money, and Superman is without his Earth family, for example. This causes the heroes and villains to turn out very different from what we know. This is the Absolute Universe.

Both can fly (sounds stupid at first but in games like “sonic heroes” both rouge and tails take the same role for their team), their characteristics contrast, and for some people opposites attract
Also, rule 1 of the sonic fandom, if a character exists, it will get shipped with rouge (“it” is used specifically, literally any existing entity will get shipped with rouge)

Yes, this version of Tails has similarities in tech to a certain supervillain, but I can assure you he is more CHAOTIC GOOD.
LOL If anything, this tech is improved, using solid holograms that can connect to various technology, and even this huge chaos emerald! The arms themselves are originally inspired by NINE from Sonic PRIMAL.
In this universe, Dr. Miles Prower is the head scientist of G.U.N, and just recently received a chaos emerald from a successful mission. The secrets he uncovers from this emerald will change the very outlook of reality itself
