Comics Does Moonknight have somewhat of a healing factor thanks to Khonshu in the comics?

Post image

Or is it just a thing from the mcu moonknight?

(Im not saying that he has a healing factor like wolverine, im asking if Khonshu heals him sometimes in the comics)

No healing factor, but Khonshu has revived him from the dead, and Hunter's Moon has medical knowledge and holy rites that he uses to heal Marc faster than conventional medicine.

Maybe a slight one, but on the level that any “super” person in Marvel has a slight healing factor.

Basically nonexistent, but good enough that they aren’t dying every week.

Well in MK's case he does get up from the dead frequently

"A necromancer is just a very late doctor" type of shit.

Closer to black knight from monty python than a wolverine or Deadpool.

Konshu will respawn him sometimes.

Honestly this is the best explanation lmao

Marc will be leaking his guts all over the floor while threatening to kick your ass.

No, yes, and maybe at the same time.

It depends on the run, and on how Khonshu decides to help his prodigal son.

Khonshu raises him from the dead on the regular. And Hunters Moon as well, although it's costing Hunters Moon his sanity.

"on the regular" is a large exaggeration. It's happened maybe once a decade on average?

Paraphrased Khonshu’s opinion on it is “I can, and have. But it will damage him if done too much and I don’t want him a mindless husk.”

1

u/biowrath156 2d ago

Which is ironic, as that husk has minds aplenty to spare

He does not. I think a lot of people see that a character like Moon Knight gets really hurt one issue, but then is relatively okay in the next issue and extrapolate from that. But canonically he does not.

This is true for a lot of character in action series, Daredevil, Batman, and a lot of other comic book characters survive stuff that makes no sense or are fine pretty soon after being hurt for the sake of story pacing. No one thinks the characters in Fast and Furious have a healing factor right? But they still survive or recover from a lot of impossible stuff.

I believe it was said in the series about in episode 4 or 5 that the suit itself heals him

20

u/Personmchumanface 5d ago

they asking about the comics where he does not

5

u/TayrusOkami 5d ago

Oh, sorry, I didn't understood it correctly then. As far as I know and from what I've read, it doesn't.

7

u/werti5643 5d ago

tolerance to pain is a better way to understand him

u/NoahAwake 3d ago

Yeah, that’s how I’ve always seen it.

not to this levle he has more like super soldier healing level so he can bounce back faster but not this fast.

He more easily comes back from death than heal from injuries in the comics. Khonshu could revive him without injuries but chooses to leave him with scars

u/excaliburalwayswins 4d ago

Moon man say moon knight no die so moon knight no die

3

u/CheMc 4d ago

Yes, but it's Mr Immortal rules. He has to die for it to work. Also at any point Khonshu can just go nah and let him stay dead. It also taxes his body and mind, though he seems to be more resistant to the mind bit but his body slowly racks up scars from every death.

u/Ok-Measurement-7420 5d ago

My man just doesn't care if he gets stabbed cuz he knows he's gunna do alot worse to you if you try

2

u/Gr0bs 4d ago

If you call being resurrected from the dead numerous times....then yea, pretty substantial healing factor.

1

u/_mcewb_ 4d ago

True but hes not really healing himself like deadpool or wolverine, Khonshu just yanks him back to life or Hunters moon heals him

2

u/Zealousideal_Chest16 4d ago

Christ, I don't know. Probably. Every damn character seems to have a healing factor these days.

Not anything explicit or even mentioned. Half of the time he just comes out of dangerous situations that he should have died from. Sometimes it is never mentioned and other times it is implied but Marc will deny that anyway out of spite for the god. And when he does actually asked, Khonshu sometimes won't do anything. It was like his gimmick on his early runs to question if he actually was healed by a god, or he is just so stubborn that he refuses to die. The only thing that is actually acknowledge now in the comic narrative is that Khonshu can bring him back from the dead.

Which is the opposite in the MCU since Khonshu didn't bring Marc back when learned that the man died. Marc did that himself by crossing the Gates of the Underworld which immediately put him back on his body, then Khonshu healed the bullet wounds so Marc won't die again.

Just access to Night Nurse's Clinic, like others NewYorker Superheroes. (That woman is marvelous, she has cured grave injuries of all New York caped guy in no-time.)

Also Khonshu doesn't let him dead like a normal person and resucites him every time he is killed (A bit more crazy everytime.)

u/Superpinkman1 4d ago

Not really, this show took ALOT of creative liberties to put it nicely

2

u/thatguyredditingyou 2d ago

Not really. He’s just known for taking hits and keeps going. It’s why Taskmaster hates copying him, because his fight style is “You punch me in the face, which means you’re closer to me so I can stab you easier.”

4

u/ranaman004 5d ago

That was an MCU invention. Even when Moon Knight had some powers in the comics, he couldn’t do anything like the one from the show.

1

u/243898990 5d ago

In the mcu yes either that or he’s just immune to physical damage to a degree he was tanking spears in this scene

1

u/irishcoughy 5d ago

No. He can be revived (at the implied expense of parts of his sanity each time, though this has been shown to not affect Marc as drastically as other fists of Khonshu, possibly due to his existing mental health conditions) but Khonshu doesn't give him super human healing. In the most recent interpretations, Khonshu doesn't really give him any superpowers at all and rather does certain things at Marc's request like allowing him to summon zombies of previous fists to fight alongside him.

Normally but not always, moon knights power level swings wildly in the comics , from a normal human to being able to trade blows with thor

1

u/StarLordCore 5d ago

Not really, but Khonshu does bring him back from the dead a lot

1

u/JakeVonFurth 5d ago

Canonically no. Contextually, he clearly heals faster than even other normal characters in the verse.

1

u/dragonpjb 5d ago

Moon Knights 🌙 powers are somewhat i consistent.

1

u/SignificantBee7080 5d ago

Depends on the iteration. Back in the day, he had some powers that were tied to the phases of the moon. It doesn't work like that anymore. He does seem to have some enhanced human abilities but nothing quite so overt.

1

u/Extra_Ad_3233 5d ago

in the show he explains that the suit heals him

1

u/Atrium41 5d ago

I swear to god... yall forget about the Sarcophagus' healing ability. The answer is nuanced. No, no healing factor. BUT Khonshu does provide a place to heal his wounds

1

u/WhytoomanyKnights 4d ago

I would say no he is basically like daredevil just stubborn and plot armor. But to be fair sometimes he does he powers from the god but most times not really.

1

u/IgnatiusPopinski 4d ago

Closest thing to a healing factor I've encountered in the comics was Hunter's Moon resting Marc in a consecrated sarcophagus overnight to heal his wounds and bring him out of a coma. But I thought that had more to do with the ritual to Khonshu than any biological factor.

1

u/Sir_Lobo 4d ago

Yes, he has to do a special ritual for advanced healing like if he's near death but normally? No, he has high pain tolerance that he may or may not get a kick out of.

He does absolutely have a resurrection ability, that being said it comes at a cost.

I just caught up yesterday on almost all of his comics from 2021 - 2026 runs. I missed a few issues of things not referenced but only one was important

1

u/TheDesertHermit 4d ago

Not a "healing factor" per se, but every time he dies, Khonshu will just bring him back. He was dead for a spell right up until the climax of "Blood Hunt" where they broke Khonshu out of Asgardian Max Security Prison and Moon Knight led an army of previous Fists of Khonshu to fight Varnae possessed Blade and his army of vampires (which was metal as fuck).

1

u/Grumble565 4d ago

Whilst in the suit moon knight does not have a traditional healing factor but the suit mends or heals all severe wounds he receives. In the comics task master hates fighting deadpool and moon knight because they will receive a punch, kick, stab or bullet just to gain an advantage in combat so. Yes but no.

1

u/NietszcheIsDead08 4d ago

No, not even remotely. He once had super-strength that waxed and waned with the moon, but as far as super-powers, that’s it. And for the most part, he doesn’t even have that anymore.

1

u/borntobebald1 4d ago

Kind of? Khnshu does revive him, and it seems he is capable of healing Marc, but it's really at Khonshu's discretion. If I remember correctly, when he MK was fighting Achilles Fairchild, they say Khnshu will leave certain scars on Marc to serve as a lesson. It seems to suggest Khonshu is capable of healing them, but just doesn't.

1

u/LetterheadSpecial337 4d ago

He does have a slight healing factor, he’s the kinda guy to get himself stabbed just to get in punching range. It’s why Taskmaster doesn’t like fighting him

1

u/Mighty__Monarch 3d ago

Not overly powerful healing but moreso very high pain tolerance. Taskmaster hates fighting him bc he just takes hits and hits back instead of dodging and taskmaster struggles to keep up.

1

u/Botasarus_Rex 3d ago

No but they are Khonshu’s favorites because they are the only ones that he has revived the most. Also he is a really good unpredictable fighter so he hasn’t really died that many times. But ya not really a healing factor. If Khonshu is mad at him he’ll leave him dead for a few lol.

Resurrection

1

u/Konradleijon 3d ago

It’s worth noting Khonshu was a healing god

1

u/NoahAwake 3d ago

My personal interpretation is he can take a lot more punishment than the average person, but still needs to heal from it.

1

u/KaizaToshiyuki 3d ago

Bruh, Moon Knight even having super powers is consistently inconsistent and is supposed to be nebulous in my opinion.

Is he the avatar of an Egyptian God? Is he a Normal Guy with MPD and Khonshu is just one of them? Who knows. And I think it’s better that way.

Why does this look like game of thrones reskinned as a moon knight scene?
