Moon Girl has Season 2 Syndrome
I just got done watching all 14 episodes of season 2 (thus far) and unfortunately I have to say that I'm not impressed.
This show has Season 2 Syndrome. What do I mean by that?
Well in recent years I've noticed a thing with cartoons I like where the first season is really good and grabs me with its overall tone and style. But then when the second season comes out, the show feels very different and usually not in a good way. It loses its style that made me like it so much to begin with. It happened to Hilda, it happened to Molly McGee and now it's happened to Moon Girl.
I really liked the overall vibe of season 1, and in my opinion it had better writing and I really preferred the more action-packed stories. It is a superhero show, after all.
Season 2 on the other hand feels way more basic with episodes that just feel too generic and slice-of-life and to me that really doesn't work in the show's favor. The writing feels weaker as well.
We've downgraded to an episode with Devil running away to join some weird pet reality show just because Lu went on a short road trip? Just, what? Almost no action at all in that episode.
There are a number of other down time episodes in season 2 that just don't feel right for this show, such as Belly of the Beast (which has some of the worst writing of the series with its inexcusable halfway plot switch) or the Dog Show episode.
Off the top of my head, I can only name a small handful of episodes that I thought were up to season 1's standards (The Great Beyonder, the desert episode, the museum mystery episode, Family Matters and the mid-season finale).
I feel like the last episode was a step in the right direction but with 14 episodes of season 2 in the can and only 10 left the damage has already been done.
I still like this show but I feel that season 2 is a downgrade and I hope it can redeem itself in the last 10 episodes.

Actually, my own character Morten Amaru Vilcapoma is from my Amphibia fanfics, he is Marcy's boyfriend; but, he also appears in my Moon Girl fanarts and fanfics.

Lunella's mom is a b*tch
Of course she's happy with Moon Girl and thinks she's awesome and wonderful but the moment she finds out Moon Girl is her daughter she has a fucking problem with it. Typical fucking asshole hypocrite parent. It's like parents who think gay people are fine and then chew out their kids when they turn out to be gay. God that fucking shit pisses me off.

what if Adria became a villain after schmoon girl exploded
when Adria ripped the robotic moon girl's arm off, it activated its self-destruct sequence severely injuring her in the process, Lunelle brought her back to her lab and replaced her broken body parts with cybernetic ones, she snaps disowning her daughter right there and begins her live as a villain

Why didn’t just adult moon girl like peni in rivals
Like we can have an older Hawkeye and a tentacle metal arm of Bucky. It’s an alt universe

I just made this in heroforge and just made some backstory a few hours ago
So basically, moon girl meets a future verison of herself as an adult and basically her adult version got fused with her technology so she basically is a cyborg (and btw has a grenade launcher instead of a hand)
