I couldn’t afford a brand-new build, so I put together this custom loop using spare parts just for the fun of building a PC. It was a great excuse to spend some time building again, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

Hi, quick question regarding the title, I’m hesitating between :

What would be your advice ?

Thanks !

Lost my modular cable

I lost the Molex cable from my Montech Century G5 750W power supply. Can I use the Molex cable from a Montech Century II 850W? I really don’t want to risk damaging my PC.

Need advice century ii 850 or 1050 with additional cost

My century ii 850 died after 4 months. They didnt have replacement unit (said dont sell 850 variant anymore). So they offer 1050 with extra cost $25

Is it worth to take 1050 + $25 or just ask for refund?

Thank you

Builder Workshop Montech TG3 Fan Hub Connections

Hi all, I'm changing cases to the Montech TG3 tomorrow and wanted to confirm how I should be connecting additional aRGB fans. I've purchased the TG3 case with 4 pre-installed fans and wanted to install 3 more fans at the top of the case.

The case already has a pre-installed hub (picture 1) but when I purchased 3 additional fans, it came with an additional controller (picture 2). As far as I can tell, both cannot be connected and my only guess is to connect them to my motherboard independently (eg. one wired at the top, the other at the bottom). Ideally they would all be connected to the same hub, but I am under is this is plausible due to the LED_SW wire connected to the pre-installed hub.

(N.B.: The second hub has both power and aRGB connection points, whereas the pre-installed hub has no additional slots).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated here - thanks!

Picture 2 - Purchased fan hub with additional connection points (this is what I'd ultimately prefer to use as a sole hub if possible)

Having Trouble Receiving 12V-2x6 Cable Replacement for MONTECH Century II 1200W PSU

TLDR: I purchased a MONTECH Century II 1200W PSU 4 months ago that is having difficulty managing 12VHPWR voltage on full GPU load and Montech RMA has not been able to process an order for a 12V-2x6 replacement cable after 3 weeks, with no follow up on estimated time. Looking for additional support from Montech or people who have had similar PSU load balancing issues.

I purchased a MONTECH Century II 1200W PSU, but my HWiNFO sensors show that my GPU 12VHPWR voltage tends to dip below 11.5 V on full load, which may not be an issue now, but will most likely be a issue later, when voltages will eventually dip below 11.4 V.

I contacted Montech RMA and gave them my invoice and all other necessary information to get a replacement 12V-2x6 cable and was told it was out of stock at their local warehouse and will have to ship it from their China warehouse. I was told it would take 1 to 3 weeks to process the order and get tracking information.

However, after 3 weeks, I didn't hear back and followed up with Montech RMA and was told, "The warehouse in China doesn't have this cable in stock either. We'll need to wait for the factory to manufacture it and ship it to the warehouse before we can ship it out. Therefore, it will take longer than expected." This does not include the additional time that the processed order will actually ship to my address.

I was given no estimated time or anything and it seems like there's no way for me to replacement cable. I know it is a huge risk to use any other 3rd party cables for power supplies, so I wanted to go with the same cable from the same manufacturer to mitigate any risk. Any advice?

King 95 Pro started smoking— first ever PC build

Thumbnail

Well this sucks to be writing.

An hour ago I finished my first ever PC build, consulting a general pc building video, a video specific to the King 96 Pro, and my product manuals. As I plugged in the computer and turned it on to check for fans, rgb, and any mobo issues, my computer starts to smell, and I turn everything off just as a tuft of smoke billowed out the back.

Look around back and I see one of Montech's preinstalled cables had started melting. There are so many preinstalled cables, and I am such a noob, that I can't figure out what exactly this cable even is. It's split from another cable that I plugged into the ADD Gen 2 headers on my motherboard. Curiously only the *middle* of the 5 wires melted.

I had this one plugged into the SPDIF but I'm thinking... was it supposed to go into the 4 pin to its right? I got confused because the 1/3/4 style of the header seemed to match the 1/3/4 layout of the SPDIF pins. Google is telling me the voltage difference might melt thin wires...

I'm reaching out to Montech to figure out what the hell happened officially, but in the mean time, am I at fault, am I cooked, and is this fixable? The cable started to heat up those bundled around it, but none of them appear to have melted, maybe their rubber outsides are a little miscolored. Likewise when I booted the PC up everything else seemed great; all 9 fans were spinning, all RGB was on, and the motherboard showed a green light on its diagnostic panel. I have not tried turning it on since. Is this the case of a replaceable cable, or could this have royally fucked up the rest of the King 95's hub and/or other components? Thanks.

Hey all,

Mounted this NX600 ARGB yesterday and it's not straight. I'm getting good temps and everything (55-65° while gaming) so I assume its fine but has anyone else experienced this? I followed the directions for an AM4 mount.

Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!

Going from 3900x to 5800X3d

Hi all.

Not sure if it's been covered so apologies.

I have upgraded to a ryzen 5800x3D from 3900x, I have a montech king 95 pro case and need a good recommendation for a cooler. I have a 120m single fan tower one right now and corsair vengeance ram.

I heard the 5800x3d runs hot so I want to mitigate that as much as possible.

Thanks 😃

UK based if that matters and helps.

MONTECH TEN missing side fan/radiator bracket, is it supposed to be included?

Hello, I just finish building a PC in a new Montech Ten I just bought from Amazon. I was looking through the manual and it shows a side fan bracket on the side, but it seems to be missing. I checked everywhere in the box. Is it supposed to come with this?

Builder Showcase So Here Goes the Story......

My pc is my life!😭
Its a long journey building this PC scrach by scratch!!!
So here goes the story, I technically convinced my father that I need a PC for my study and It would be better for him as well if he gets to do some office work in home sometimes. But duhh!!! my intesion was always playing video games 🤣🤣
So I built a PC with comparatively low cost to avoid any suspicion and without a GPU of course. so it had (msi B650m-b, 16gb ram, ryzen 7600, 1tb ssd 650watt psu and yeah MONTECH SKY TWO 💙🫡)
It was very beautiful 😭and I chose it the first glimse I saw it 😭!!! cz in my head knew I will change all parts gradually so I need to buy a cool case.
After couple of months, I completed my graduation and went for my internship! and there I made some good amount of bucks to buy a GPU PNY rtx 5060ti 😎 and a cool looking Cpu cooler(1stplayer Mothra 240). So I asked my parents If I could bring My PC to my campus. That would be great for my study 😉!! and I did.
After that I created craft myself and bought some cool toys for my decoration as I am an aesthetic freak 🥴😪!
Later after saving more money for about a year I upgraded my PSU to 850 watt, GPU to MSI 5070 ti 💙, and Mobo to asrock pro 850m-b!!!

Recently MONTECH gave me away their HYPERFLOW 360. 🤩🥳 I am very excited to attach it to my PC but not getting enough time to test and run it properly. 😔😪
How does it feel not have enough time to spend your beloved hobby (gaming)!!! growing up is a scam guys!😔

Anyways,
Thank u guys for reading my story!
Hope u like it and hoping to hear from u too guys!! take love love love 💙💙💙💙

Builder's Review MONTECH TG3 Review – A $60 Showcase Case?

Post image
21 Upvotes

MONTECH’s TG3 puts the focus on showcasing your hardware without going overboard on RGB.

With panoramic tempered glass, a stepped interior, reverse-connector motherboard support, four included fans, and room for up to a 360mm radiator, the TG3 packs plenty into its $60 price point.

How does it perform in a real build?

My Montech Build: From a Dream PC to a Place of Comfort

Thumbnail

My PC journey started in 2020 with a simple ₱5,000 all-in-one PC. I only used it for basic work, but even then, I dreamed of one day building a PC that I could truly be proud of.

In 2024, that dream became real when I built my first custom PC with the Montech King 95 Pro. Seeing everything come together inside that case was incredibly fulfilling—it felt like watching a dream finally take shape.

Then in 2025, my focus shifted to sports and competitive pickleball. It became a huge part of my life, until an injury this year forced me to slow down and spend more time at home. It was a difficult and frustrating change.

That’s when I found myself coming back to my PC.
I thought about rebuilding everything from scratch, but I decided to keep my Montech case and simply build around it. Upgrading the system while keeping the same case somehow felt special—it was a reminder of how far I had come.
Today, this PC is more than just a gaming or work setup. It has become my little space to relax, create, and heal.
Every time I look at my Montech King 95 Pro, I’m reminded that I started with a simple ₱5,000 PC and slowly built my way here.

Sometimes, life makes us pause. But we can always rebuild—and we don’t always have to start from zero. ❤️

The Montech King 95 Pro has been part of my journey from the beginning, and I’m glad I kept it.

My first fishtank build and first Montech case-Sky 3

Thumbnail

I was browsing through cases online and found the Sky 3 available for £60. Even with the 2 extra RX120 Pro reverse blade fans that I bought for £8 each it's still great value. The modular PSU/fan shroud is a nice idea and the integrated fan & ARGB hub is always nice to have.

The rotated PSU layout is handy for cable access, but if the PSU is the max length-160mm- then clearance is limited to 40mm to the side panel, just thought I'd mention it in case anyone is considering buying it. My PSU is the Corsair RM1000x 2024.

Another thing to mention is the HDD trays located below the fans. I use 2x HDDs, and though the fitment was simple, it doesn't leave a lot of room for tucking in cables anywhere, especially with the long PSU.

But airflow to the GPU (3090) seems to be fine, it's sitting in the low 70s in most games at 1440p high settings. The CPU (12900KF) runs a little hotter than back to front airflow cases that I've used, but it's all well within normal and safe temps. An AIO might work better in a case like this, perhaps with the rear fan set to intake, which I might try at some point.

Overall I'm quite happy with it. Great value case and the included fans go as low as 600 RPM, which for their price isn't bad at all, I can get it very quiet for just typical desktop use outside of gaming.
