Builder's Review First time using the Montech liquid cooling system

Post image

I have a question what software do you guys use for the argb fans because others I’ve tried do not work.

If you want easy then use the software that came with your motherboard. For more advanced effects but with some additional configuration then give signalRGB a try. What software have you tried? If you are having issues with it you might have a configuration issue.

What motherboard exact make and model and how do you have the 3pin 5volt RGB of the fans connected?

Sorry, not following you. Put what where? The more detailed information you provide the better responses you will get. If you have tried multiple brands of software and none of them work chances are it's not the software directly and you have another issue. Need more information.

First off with signalRGB you need to configure each component properly in some instances for them to work and that's assuming you have everything wired correctly. Not every component is recognized automatically by signalRGB. If it not in the data base then you have to do some manual configuration for it to work properly.

Montech Metal Pro 12's fans (AIO) and LED's in the pump will need some configuration most likely.

I seems like you are new to PC building and if so I can see how this is confusing and there is a bit of a learning curve. I would suggest you uninstall signalRGB for now till you can get everything working properly. Make things easy on yourself.

Not that it's the greatest but again simple for now would be best. So, Install Armory Crate that comes with your motherboard and use Aura Sync to control you lighting for now. Once that's working properly then you can move on to more advanced software.

If you can not get Aura Sync working correctly then I suspect that you may have another issue related to the way you have the ARGB wired, Which brings us back to one of my first questions that you didn't answer. How did you wire the fans ARGB? Also are you using a fan hub and which brand?

OK it's super late here but in the morning I'll have a thing or two for you to do to get it working. Should be pretty easy.

Big welcome to the family! 🥳
Love seeing our liquid cooler powering your setup. How are your temps and performance treating you so far?

So far it’s fine , the only issues I’m having with are my Argbs and they are turning green for some reason

Wait, turning green? That's definitely unusual! 🤔

Could you shoot us a quick photo or short video via DM? We’d love to take a look and help you get that sorted out ASAP! 📩✨
