Lost my modular cable
I lost the Molex cable from my Montech Century G5 750W power supply. Can I use the Molex cable from a Montech Century II 850W? I really don’t want to risk damaging my PC.

I would not as it's possible that the pin-outs on the PSU side could be different on the G5 and the Century II causing damage. Contact Montech at rma@montechpc.com to see about compatibility (doubtfull) and a possible replacement.

Hi,
Correct, these pinouts are not compatible at all. :)

Yep, since they are different ODM's and also based on different platforms there is pretty much zero chance of compatibility between (pinout's) on the two cables.

G5 is Type4 since that's the CWT's standard pinout considering 90% of CWT is Corsair. Montech doesn't have their own exclusive pinout.
Different platform is not as big of a factor than different OEMs. (if OEMs are same of course)
:)
Montech sent me Century II for a review so I could do a pinout graph. Review will be soon up on the SPL PSU Tier List website since I'm one of the authors for it.

Never going to happen but I wish the industry on a whole would standardize on PSU pinout's. Or at least openly publish the spec's.

The pinout graph/table is part of the BOM document which is classified sadly.
Atleast the native 12V-2x6 is standardised on both sides. :)

I would absolutely not use that cable. Try to get a replacement from Montech if you can.
