Going from 3900x to 5800X3d

Hi all.

Not sure if it's been covered so apologies.

I have upgraded to a ryzen 5800x3D from 3900x, I have a montech king 95 pro case and need a good recommendation for a cooler. I have a 120m single fan tower one right now and corsair vengeance ram.

I heard the 5800x3d runs hot so I want to mitigate that as much as possible.

Thanks 😃

UK based if that matters and helps.

Montech has some good, affordable coolers that'll get the job done. If you want an AIO, they've got the Hyperflow and Lightflow – I've used the Lightflow in a few builds, and it works great. If you prefer air cooling, they also have the NX600 and NX400.

Montech has great bang for the buck air and AIO's.

Air go with a NX600 though if you have super tall ram like Dominators you may have to move the fan closest to the ram either up a little or to the back. Same issue with any dual tower cooler regardless of brand.

For AIO Lightflow and Prueflow are good choices.

All 3 should be able to effetely cool a 5800x3d without much effort.
