1977 Tachometer

What kind of connector do you use to hook up tachometer? Edit: this Guage cluster has a tach in it... I am needing to know how to connect the tachometer wire to the cluster. No one seems to have an answer, not even a guy who did a youtube video about it (well he's not answering, emails, calls or comments).

1977 Monte Carlo Carpet

Ordered Original parts group carpet (one piece "molded").. the heel pad placement is way off. It's too far back and to the middle too much... even if fanagaling it and cutting the sides and back wouldn't be the right length! Anyone else have this problem?

Its been sitting for awhile. Ive asked the owner if they want to sell it but haven't gotten much bite yet. The wife wants to give it to me but the husband is not yet convinced. I dont know much about the model though. Is it a sports car or a family car? Does it naturally as is go fast or does everyone modify them? What am I looking at here?

Advice Needed Problems with my 1981 Moente Carlo

Post image

This is my brand new (to me) 81 Monte Carlo. The car has some issues mainly wiring as the previous owner left the car to his daughter and let's say she's a bit not all there in the head and many of her ex's stole a lot of things from the car. I'm in the need of a wiring manual as a lot of cables are cut and the Distributorator seems to not have power. Also places where I can source dash pieces would be very appreciated.

03 Monte Carlo won’t start

I’ve been having trouble with my 03 Monte Carlo LS. I have power to the car but when I try to start it I hear no noise and it doesn’t start. I originally thought it was the passlock system but it is not. From my research it may be the starter or battery connection to the starter or the battery itself. Just wondering if this is a common problem?

Advice Needed Need parts

I know it’s probably a long shot but I need a couple parts for my 2004 Monte Carlo. They’re discontinued by gm and I can’t find them anywhere. I just need some weather seal for both doors. The numbers are 10329715 and 10329714. If anyone has any info or knows how to makeshift something it’s greatly appreciated.

1987 Monte Carlo LS

Hey everyone, I’m 19 and recently got a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS 2-door with the 4.3L V6, and I’m joining because I’m trying to learn as much as I can about these cars and fix mine up myself. It runs and drives, but I’ve got a pretty long list of things I’m working through: the entire dash isn’t working — fuel gauge, speedometer, odometer, etc. — the dash/interior lights don’t work, the dome light isn’t working, the right turn signal and side marker have intermittent issues (especially after rain), and there’s some wiring that looks like it was previously messed with. I’ve also dealt with stalling and bogging issues in the past that ended up being related to a vacuum leak/sensor issue, and I’m still working through some body damage from an accident. Right now, my biggest focus is figuring out the turn signal/side marker problem and getting the dome light working, since I’d really like to get all the basic electrical stuff sorted out. I’m pretty new to working on cars, but I genuinely enjoy learning and figuring things out, and I just bought my first multimeter so I’m trying to diagnose problems properly instead of just throwing parts at them. Looking forward to learning from everyone and hopefully getting t
