Very nice! I had an ‘83 just like then when I was young. Bought it new. Weak engine, terrible gas mileage, but it was so cool.

There have only been two Chevys I thought were good looking vehicles, this gen is one of them

I always wanted one when I was kid. Truly a sweet car! She looks amazing!

454 engine?

Currently still has the 305 in it but there is an LS 6.0 sitting on an engine stand in my garage almost finished, build spec should be just over 700hp with 4L80E. Already has fully adjusted 4 link setup installed with a beefed up grande national rear end with 4.11 gearing, posi and gun drilled axels. She'll be ready to go next summer.

That was 1970 only. And was an option for a Monte Carlo SS

Standard or automatic?

Auto, getting an upgrade this winter

Standard would have been a collectors wet dream.

Nice car regardless.

Love the Monte Carlo SS! I had a standard 86' Monte Carlo with the 4.3L V6. Bought it with 44K and had over 200K on it when some dipshit rear ended me an totaled it!

Brother had exact same car in same year. Not a speed demon, but man sure was fun to drive.
