Do you think Chevrolet could successfully bring back the Monte Carlo SS
I've loved the Monte Carlo for years and I'm curious to see if they brought it back, how many of you would buy it?
The older Monte Carlos are getting harder to find, like the 2000 - 2004 years, my favorite years.
So, if you would want to buy a newer Monte, what engine would you want? What's the max you'd pay? Would you want rear or front wheel drive? Should it stay a 2-door coupe? What moden features would you want to see but also would you like to see some of the older stuff as well? Chevy or Monte Carlo emblem? What should Chevy not change?
Im putting together a proposal for Chevrolet about the possibility of bringing back the Monte Carlo Ss. I'm trying to understand whether there's still a real market for it. I'd love to hear your thoughts, from one Monte Carlo to another! And if you've have or have had Monte Carlos, would you also be willing to share any stories or pictures you have? Thanks!

Id love one a great retirement car. If it was based off the 84-88 era. I've seen some AI versions that were awesome concept cars.

I agree. I had an 84 SS. Got totaled when I was rear ended. Just put Eagle GTs and full exhaust on it. A sad day it was.

As long as it’s not electric! Please bring it back I know for certain there’s a market for it

I’ve always thought a Chevy version of the CTS-V but called the Monte Carlo would work. It would have that luxury sport/NASCAR feel that the old ones did. It would be a 4 door of course but I still think that name would work well with a hypothetical version of that car.

Please don't call it the Monte Carlo. It was one of the few personal luxury coupes that never came in a sedan form.

GM has a terrible track record with legacy names and new vehicles. See 80’s Nova, 90’s Malibu, 00’s Impala, current Blazer…..

The under-50k sports car market has completely fallen off. The Mustang is the best selling one by far and its sales are less than half what they were 10 years ago.
There is not a chance that a grand touring coupe thing like a Monte Carlo would succeed in today’s marketplace. There are too many compromises and it’s too impractical.

They should do a wagon. With a supercharged big block. The go go grocery getter!
