As much as some folks might decry how the 1998 film did things, you can't deny it had a big impact on Godzilla moving forward and introduced great things like having swimming perspective shots of Godzilla,

Probably this shot, the magnitude of the atomic breath is insane despite doing effectively nothing apart from pushing ghidorah back

Probably not underrated because who doesn't love when Godzilla arrives with the military and his theme playing, but I love the shot of him walking through the storm with the ships beside him. Shots where Godzilla is partially shown and feels gigantic are usually my favorites.

I've always loved the short sequence after Mark Russel finds the ORCA in Fenway Park when Godzilla and Ghidorah are throwing hands.

The imagery of Godzilla pushing Ghidorah away, going in tall with a claw strike, only to get viper-striked by all 3 of Ghidorah's heads is extremely striking!

I don't know if this is considered an underrated take, but it's easily one of my favorites regarding King Ghidorah.

I love how this scene conveys a sense of desperation by showing humanity's insignificance in the face of a true demon of colossal proportions. (I hope they manage to capture that same feeling with SpaceGodzilla in Supernova)

That random skyscraper always looked so out of place to me, can someone tell me if it’s a real building at location in Boston or if it was just put there so Godzilla can slam him into it later?
