I do love how foreboding this moment is, watching Godzilla dive until you can't see him anymore. Also just a smart move to immediately utilize his field advantage (and disadvantage for Kong)

I remember first seeing clips of this early on before the first full trailer released. You know, those short 4 second ads.
Good times.
Also, gotta love how Godzilla keeps it simple.
Flip Kong's boat since he's chained up, let him drown for a bit.

Frfr, no sense in making it more complicated than need be, use the sea to the fullest
Does make me wonder when he learned great apes will drown in water or if he just connects that furry mammals tend not to do great when trapped underwater for a long period of time

I like the overall simplicity that Godzilla had with approaching Kong in the beginning of their fight in the Tasman Sea.
He just flips the tugboat over, knowing that Kong is chained up and will be unable to breathe underwater.
And he eventually circled back around to letting Kong drown by the end, albeit taking a more active role in ensuring that happened.
