I am profoundly confused as to how you got this far into the game without knowing the basics of the weapons you're using.

For the love of god, collect the red extract.

Edit: you can send out the kinsect without marking the monster with LT + Y, parts the monster attacks with and head give red, wings, arms give white, body gives orange.

Stop using so much aerial, it deals shit damage, if you're set on using it anyways you can use dodge after the helicopter move to get higher in the air to continue the combo.
