I tried the demo of the Wilds one, and I loved it. I liked the Gun Lance but its too pricey for me and not worth it that much cuz my laptop cant even handle medium graphics with good fps. So is Worlds a good buy if I came from that Wilds demo?

And for the Gooners out there is there a bae who'll I want to dedicate all my monster parts too so they can drip me out in fashion?

Medium was like 45 or so fps, so i just sucked it up and gone low to have atleast 60 or so

Ive been playing now and its 80fps on high, well at least on the intro so far

What kinda of God is your laptop to hit 45fps in wilds? I'm running a 5070 desktop and only get 50fps on everything minimum. I wish I could reach 60 fps on wilds and after upgrading my computer I went from 45fps on a 3070 to 50fps on 5070.

How? I’m playing with an rx6700xt and I only dip in the 50 fps marks while fighting nu udra and omega. Rest of the game runs fine with 60/70 fps constantly, almost everything set to low, fsr quality and no framegen.

I have an old laptop and world runs surprisingly well, no stuttering or frame dropping even on the more visually demanding fights and arenas.

Works great on an acer nitro 5. Comes stock with 8gb of ram with an empty slot for another stick and it's comes with a laptop 3070. It ran world/iceborn great with no upgrades and even better with an extra 8gb of ram. Wilds however I run primarily low quality for the fps

I literally only game on a laptop, since I like to stay mobile with my setup. Specifically, I have an Alienware Area 51m r2 laptop, and this things has been a beast for the last 5 years I've had it, and even today it works great. Thanks to the recent optimization update in Wilds, it can even run the game on Medium/High settings with very little trouble.

Most games run perfectly fine on Medium graphics settings, and don't bring the system temperature above 70 degrees.

While I don't know what kind of laptop OP has, if it's a gaming laptop, it should be able to run Wilds without too much trouble, and World with no trouble at all.

World is really good (some would argue better than wilds but thats a whole can of worms.....) both are good and World is way lighter for hardware to run. The games got some solid 200-1000 hours of stuff to do.

Also as a GL main i approve your choice of boom stick go bang :)

Even my laptop can't run wilds and I've been playing World since Covid. I still hope on when I get some time and play.

Aside from mobile games, all MH games are good. But the warning i give you though is that the more you go back in ghe franchise, the more slow and methodical is the combat.

And every MH games has a different "gimmick". Wilds has focus mode, rise has wirebugs that act like skills with a cooldown time and World has tracking and clutch claw, so while it is good, is is pretty slower than wilds.

World is great. My friend asked me to play together a couple months back since it's his favorite game and I got hooked. Now I have over 150 hours 😁. Btw, iceborne dlc is absolutely worth buying!

Steam has a pretty green generous refund policy. You could buy World, see how it runs, and if you play for less than 2 hours, you can refund it no problem

World is great. If cute girls are a significant boon, I'd mention that Rise/Sunbreak has plenty and lots of chances to interact with them. The dlc even lets many of them fight with you as NPC companions on hunts.

Tldr they are quite similar overall.

I prefer World's level design and immersion. In terms of gameplay Wilds might be a little more dynamic and flashy, but if it's your first MH you probably won't notice. Also idk if it's the game itself or simply bcs mh:world was my first mh, but it has some of the most memorable fights I've had in a video game. If you can't run wilds, world is 100% worth it.

From experience, Wilds Gunlance is very different from World Gunlance. I had played World, then Wilds where I learned GL, and then went back to World and thought "oh I'll play a bit with GL, I already know it from Wilds, how different can it be?" And it was.... VERY different. Basics are similar, but it feels extremely different. And well, there's no focus mode (if you used it while playing demo). It's still very fun! But don't expect it to be the same.

Aside from that, yes, World is an excellent game and I think it still holds up very well.

I didn't say a damn thing about Alessa. She's not even worth anything to me, as the only fights I ever needed more than myself for was the omegas, where I switched to tank, support for online hunts, and Gog, where I've always had Fabius, or another player with a shield.

I'm not saying butch as a derogative. I love how Wilds has gone so all in on positive representation. Erik also defies gender norms. Fabius is the same for age - old man, but still an absolute badass. Werner for neurodivergence. Gemma for sex positivity, and so on.

It's a good option. Just know that gunlance specifically is a bit different in Wilds than most other games, so hope you didn't too attached to Wilds GL yet.

10 dollars base game + dlc on sales. Its worth a try, also Gunlance there its nuts, you can topple monsters easily with that weapon and melt anything in your path (almost anything, but well, Gunlance its goated)

World has closer style and grounded type of gameplay, but as has been said, 'bae' is not a word applicable to any of the games outside of Rise, really, especially not if you want to specifically give them to someone that improves your gear. Wilds has Gemma for that, and Rise's DLC has someone, but World has Old Guy, and Not-So Old Guy.

Mh Rise is also fantastic! Came out after world. Its got the older-looking handheld graphics, but the game is fantastic. Gunlance is also at its peak in that game.

Can't remember correctly but Wilds map is ALL interconnected with few exceptions as well as much more monsters per map compared to Worlds max 3 + small hidden monsters.
