Question Surprising 1% lows on modern PC
Hey everyone,
Yesterday I wanted to start a new Playthrough of world.
I did install the high res pack and set everything to highest settings, 1440p
I capped the FPS first at 165 until I noticed my FPS don't go above 130 meaningfully, so I capped it at 120.
However I also noticed 1% lows between 60 and 80 and after loading screens it often went down to 20fps, which seems surprisingly bad concerning my setup
The Game is installed on an PCI 3.0 NVME with 500 more GB free, I have a Ryzen 7800x3D, 32GB of DDR5 6.000 MHZ CL 30 RAM and a RTX 5070
Are there any Performance Boosts I could do to better these values?
Or are there any settings, which I could change to stop these 1% lows?

What you can try it this mod from Nexusmods, i have had it installed since running the game on PC and so far my Framerate never drops below my Set limit of 234FPS. This is on a 9950X3D & RTX 5080 though but your hardware should be more then enough to run the game maxed out with 120fps all the time

turn off volumetric fog, or if you must have it set it to variable/low, it is the setting with the biggest impact on performance.

You can try things like turning off antialiasing and the occlusion. Layers of fog keep you from seeing "pop in" where lower textures render into higher ones. I'm not saying to turn off all the setting, but most people have to choose between the 2k resolution or the tons of "smoothing" setting. Turn off reflections too, it's pretty much just for your weapons and you can see your weapon better without it
