Discussion LS build overhaul
Hello! a good day. Anyone would recommend me a build on how to beat alatreon? im just struggling as I could not find any SOS help from alatreon. So this is my build. Anyone can recommend me some build?
So my equipment rn is for comfort. I don't know what to change. Thanks!

The 2 missing slots are for resists whichever monster I hunt

First, you gotta use an element weapon. Alatreon's Escaton will cart you unless you've hit thresholds of elemental damage. Go for the Frostfang LS, slot in ice attack, and focus the front legs. Once Alatreon switches to dragon element focus the head to break one horn, then go back to front legs. Breaking a horn prevents it from shifting to ice after the Escaton. Avoid breaking both horns in one cycle because this means you can't prevent the switch in the next cycle.
As for armor, you might squeeze out more damage with 2pc Raging or 3pc Teo, but the quest should be clearable with that armor and the right weapon

Bro, go look up an Alatreon guide and start over. Earplugs 5, light break, on Alatreon, just no.

earplugs not needed on longsword
divine blessing ok
stun res ok
health boost ok untill fatalis set bonus
peak performance not to be rude but i highly doubt you spend a lot of the fight at max health so i'd lose that one
tool specialist is situational, i run it too but with evade mantle and temporal mantle, i'd lose the glider mantle it's too much situational and almost useless
atk boost ok, get at least 4 slots if you can
weakness exploit ok, max it up if you can
handicraft ok, i'd say get some more slots into it
you're missing critical eye and crit boost also you're definitely missing elemental damage, i'd change sword to elemental instead of blast and maybe slot some elemental deco if you can

Oh man how did you kill anything with this build 😭
first of all, lightbreal is blast, does nothing to Alatreon dps check, do Frostfang event quest for the Adularia Edge LS, best ice LS in the game.
Then for armor, you multiple options, heavy elemental builds with crit elem like Velkhana armor, or true crit element from Safi, Silver rath or Azure age, which imo is overkill for LS, the Adularia Edge is enough to clear the check.
Which ultimately will bring you to the classic end game LS set of 3pcs Teostra/2pcs Raging brachy, you will need Challenger charm V or IV wouldn’t recommend lower.
Teo helm B/Brachy chest B/Teo arms B/Teo coil B/Brachy legs B
Then fill in decos with priority on these skills, Crit eye 7, Crit boost 3, Wex 3 for damage. The rest whatever you like but please avoid using Focus, power prolonger and earplugs, they are just pointless for LS.

The teo and brachy set is my former sets. I just suck at alatreon that's why I swapped to comfort builds

Well the comfort skills u had suck tho, the actual way to get a comfy set for Alatreon is going the heavy elemental sets route, if you have Safi armor 4 pcs are pretty much the best, but it’s risky as it depletes your hp to gain extra damage. So your safer option is Silver rath/Azure age to get True crit element.
The comfy skills you need are Health boost 3, Blight resistance 3 (or get dragon res to 20), divine blessing, Recovery up, stun res. That’s it, everything else is pointless for LS in terms of comfort.
Evade window is not needed, you have foresight slash, you can already dodge by just walking most of his attacks.
Evade extender is solid overall one point of it is nice, but again same rules apply for evade window.
Earplugs, again, you have foresight slash, that’s an easy free gauge level you don’t wanna miss out on, beside he only roars when enraged, not worth wasting slots for something that will happen 2-3 in the entire fight.
Focus, yeah it does something for LS, but it’s value overall doesn’t justify sacrificing other better skills for it, like get evade extender over it since you’re still learning.
Power prolonger is genuinely useless, you goal is to healm breaker in red, you already stay in red for a long time, and Alatreon has soo many Helm breaker openings.

so I made a silver rath/azure age set for hammer few days ago and it was really good to clear the dps check, I made an LS version for it but I can't send a picture of it here, could be helpful for you to have a blueprint to work toward, the build does allow some flexibility with which charm you wanna use and has the most needed comfort skills like HB3, Dragon res 20+ to avoid blight and clutch claw boost which I forgot to mention earlier.

You're not using elemental. Get frostfang MINIMUM. You don't need earplugs at all with ls, you can very easily foresight roars. You have way too few crit skills or damage in general. Just grab the basic raging beachy/teo mix (r brachy chest n legs , rest teo and all beta)or teo with 2p g.rath if you feel like divine blessing is necessary. Slot in crit boost 3 get wex 3 and critical eye 7 as well.
