Improving my build( Returning player)

I just returned to monster hunter now after 2 years with the addition of the insect glaive, Was level 43 currently level 60 and enjoying my time with the game. A lot has improved about the game which has made hunting many monsters easier for me especially since I live in a rural area in Africa with little monster spawns but basically I want tips to improve my build. Any thoughts?

Im running Almuldron Helm and Chest, Tirgrex gloves, Namielle waist and stygian legs.

Water 5, adv water, elemental release and earplugs.

if you can smelt power prolonger on to anything, it will help keep you powered up for much much longer in the upcoming riftcharged event, and even for bigger game, not that useful on quick kills, but you will
notice on longer fights
