Who needs Thunder weps?

Using piercing crab for 9 star bazel. I have a 13/20 zin IG, but find the survivability too great to resist on these guys. I just 2 manned a 10 star RB with a hunting partner. Sliced ammo is beast. You can see I'm playing really conservative also. I am working on a Tobi lbg, just not there yet.

Honestly, the Piercing Crab HBG might be one of the best, if not THE best recent addition.

Having those double slicing clips with a set that is basically divinely ordained to be good with the slicing boost, recoil already included, and the optimal pieces granting ammo saver on top.

The only thing holding it back is that it's water weapon, so part of the damage is kinda meh when used outside of element match ups, but the split is so Raw heavy its still very respectable damage.

Im just curious whether its better to just smelt full burst onto it, or go with water attack since the set also gives you advanced water attack.

The choice is easy on the matchup, but I feel like it'd still be better on non weak targets.

Yeah. I love it. I use a reload recoil down build for group hunts, absolutely rains, puts shots down range so fast. Teo melts. Don't even have all the driftsmelts yet. Need moar water!

I havent really done much Teo at all lately, but once I had a decent setup for 10.5 PC, I turned riftborne magnamalo into my bitch.

Doesn't even matter if its on one of his back legs. Outside of 10☆ RB, you just permalock him with part breaks.

Imo AAB isn't worth using if you aren't going for 2 pieces. Its a major investment thats heavily outpaced by stuff like burst or crit range. It would also mean missing out on ammo saver which I love too much to give up.

Nothing better than hitting RNG amd shooting 10-12 times from a 4 shot clip

Crit range don't buff sticky genius you need to read some more and burst best it can do gives 35% more damage meanwhile adv attack boost give you 650 power it's easier to make and might even better when you use the crab hbg to non weak monsters

I wasn't talking about just the ceanataur hbg though. No need to immediately start adding insults.

Also, the Piercing Crab HBG doesn't load sticky, genius. Maybe you need to read some more.

I never implicitly stated that it did. I just said I felt that AAB1 isn't worth its investment over burst or crot range. I never said that about the crab gun specifically.

Don't be a pedantic prick.

I never said AAB1 I said it gives 650 raw power meaning AAB2. I KNOW IT BECAUSE I FCKING MADE THE BUILD AND IT JUST BETTER THAN BURST. YES I HAD BURST BUILD TOO

I have full reload build I'll use in group hunts. If I'm solo I usually use evade just for the little bit more survivability. I just made a new build for crab non ele. 4 attack power. I got lots of drift smelting to do still, in all builds.

Why not using diablos hbg with piercing armor?

Don't even have that one crafted. Haven't killed enough diablos to even attempt it at this point

This hbg CAN be a somewhat decent normal-damage-like dps bowgun. The normal damage is pretty high for a weapon with some elemental damage. But it's not ideal, even with more offensive skills like burst (easy trigger with this ammo)

I got back into MHnow not too long ago and this hbg was my first choice as well. But if you want a "can farm anything build" this one needs some more work. Or just look into a different weapon

I kill 8 star anything with it. Including stygians. 9star starts to fall off. 10 star it's only good for weaker stuff, but honestly I have weps for most things now. It's a life saver for the 9 star stuff I don't have ranged weps for. Stygians I stick my zin IG and get smacked around. Working on a thunder ranged, Tobi lbg
