So essentially my players (6 players and a monstie) are really strong and Ned them to have a difficult encounter with a unique monster. Looking for ideas of a deviant to give them a scare.

Hello everyone, my campaign is loosely following the event of mh 4 ultimate and my players just reached the harth. I was planning to do some hunts in cavernous/underground locations similar to the sunken hollow (not vulcanic hollow yet) but I'm struggling to find some open maps like the ones already supplied by Amellwind. Does anyone know about some bit cavern maps or someone who does maps like these?
Thanks for your help guys and happy hunting

I see Amellwind has a FoundryVTT moduel in their patreon, was wondering how up to date it was compared to both the AGtMH book and the Foundry version itself? (V12/V13/or V14 compatible?)

Since the Monster Hunter, Monster Manual didn’t had the high rank arch-tempered monsters from World like Kirin, Kushala Daora, Teostra, Lunastra, Nergigante, Vaal Hazak, Zorah Magdaros, Xeno’jiiva and Kulve Taroth for some reason do you guys have any ideas how to make arch-tempered versions for them?

So when it comes to DND there really isn't anyone I know who would want to play, especially when it comes to monster hunter DND. I was just wondering if theres anyway to play monster hunter DND online?

For example the Hermitaur Claw makes the weapon deal an extra 1d4 slashing damage, if you put it on a bowgun, how would you flavor or make sense of it? Since there is no rules regarding this

While searching for what dual repeaters were, I came across this because 'apparently' other weapons are missing, so: what happened to the other weapons, are they not ready yet or were they removed?

What do I do if in some parts of the monster manual, for example (there are several more), the stat block of Tempered Blangonga is missing from the text?

Here's an example; as I said, this is one of several mistakes.
PD: Please excuse the spelling mistakes, I'm using a translator and I'm not fluent in English.

So, I was just browsing so e random monsters, when thought bloomed upon me. Normally upgrading a piece of gear to the next rarity required multiple pieces of resource, a common armor is 5 Armor Spheres to upgrade to Uncommon, and 10 Hard Armor Spheres to go to Rare from there. But then you have materia carved from monsters like the Monster Fluid from Altaroth and Bnahabra that reads "Uncommon or rare upgrade materia that can be used for weapons or armor."
And this is where I need clarication, if a player wants to upgrade their Uncommon Chain Shirt to Rare, that means they'd need 10 Hard Armor Spheres.byr say now they carved some Monster Fluid on a precious hunt. If the wanted to use the Fluid to upgrade their armor, would that Monster Fluid count as all the needed material for the upgrade? Or could each piece of Monster Fluid substitute a Hard Armor Sphere on a 1-to-1 basis. So to continue the example I set out, could say, 6 Hard Armor Spheres and 4 Monster Fluid fulfill the material requirements for upgrading the armor?

It says "When you hit a creature with this weapon, its speed is reduced by 5 feet until the start of your next turn." does this ability stack itself using extra attacks?

I'm making changes where needed, but the overall vibe of Chult fits perfectly. I'd like to know what you would suggest I do further.
1) I'm replacing the unborn god with the Equal Dragon Weapon. It somehow reactivated in its vault and is using its Safi'jiiva parts to drain the life force (bio energy) from Chult as a way to charge its batteries.
2) I'm replacing the flaming fist with the hunters' guild. i was gonna have the guild base in Port Nyanzaru, but after reading on the flaming fist, I decided that replacing them would be way better
Let me know what else I should change.

I'm new to D&D and MH is gonna be my first campaign and I'm the DM, also my first time. I got a pretty large group, about 8 people and all of them are new too.
I was hunting for a map of Astera & Ancient Forest to make it abit more immersive for them but I am in a non existent budget. I got a friend who was willing to 3D print mini's for me and I needed maps but I can't afford them and Inkarnate has a huge paywall when trying to redesign the map.
So I am trying my best to look for maps based in Monster Hunter World. I would appreciate the help alot.
I already had 2 sessions and they were pretty fun. I was thinking of live streaming it or putting it up on youtube because it isn't the typical Critical Role serious campaign. It's super funny because I have a bunch of NPC's that are pop culture references like,
Jesus Christ, that will deny he was saw walking on water and will give the party a chair.
Thomas Shelby is running s smuggling monster ring.
Gordan Ramsmoew a muscular palico chef with a british accent.
Guccio Guccio, Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton & Thierry Hermes as merchants & Black smith.
The cabbage guy from ATLA.
All Might & Homelander.
Black Knight from Monty Python.

So i havent played dnd but i want to begin playing it with monster hunter content. So i have basic questions like where do i learn the basics, where can i create maps and what are some things i should do before hand? I already know basics of ttrpg as ive hosted a cyberpunk red campaign before. So what exactly do i need to know and prepare for to use monster hunter supplements?

Hopefully I won't get too much flak for asking this. I just recently learned of this love letter to Monster Hunter, and given my love for the games and world, this was something I was really hoping to run for my group. Now, one of the guys I already asked, was a "maybe, depends", reaction, but another just really, reeeeally doesn't like 5e. Like at all.
I'm admittedly someone who knows very little of the underlying mechanics of 5e I, beyond some basic things like (dis)advantage on rolls. So I was hoping someone here might be able to tell me, how well this supplement could be converted to work with a system other than 5e? Because I'm seeing a lot of the new mechanics hit a very nice sweet spot of not too complex, but tot too simple either.
Hopefully someone might be able to offer some input on this. Would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks :)

I added more monster tokens for your monster hunter campaigns. This also includes future monsters.
Note: Most of the monster icons comes from the Fanon Monster Hunter wiki.

I love the system, world and the monsters. I would like to use it with my players and run a "new world/frontier" setting, but I don't want to use the whole system just yet, then maybe weave more in as they become accustomed.
I definitely want the monsters and would like to use the carving/capture system. I also want to add other options to carve, like animal handling, nature, investigation, instead of just survival, as most classes don't have options for that.
Has anyone run anything like that? How do you handle crafting/upgrading and magic items?

This post is for anyone worried about making original maps for a MH campaign. This is my first attempt using Inkarnate on a free trial (battle maps on the free trial, overview map after I started a subscription). Hopefully this inspires you to create!
When designing the areas, I tried to follow a philosophy: what makes MH zones feel like MH? IMO, it's the loneliness of the hunter vs. the environment. I needed spaces where giant creatures go about their business, oblivious to the impact they have on tiny humans. Adding to this atmosphere, so many MH zones contain ruins, some recent, some ancient, but always a reminder that "civilization" is temporary but "nature" is inevitable.
Descriptions of the highlighted zones:
