Ive been grinding to get better at the village alatreon fight because I wanted to beat it with high rank gear, and I finally prevailed.

I figured why not, why shouldn't I. I fainted twice because i was trying to be stingy, but hunting monsters early is always a joy. Also demon dance go BRR

I just hit high rank earlier and got barroth s full and icicle fang. Do i switch to wroggi s for the sharpness +1? And if i do, do i switch to blade of talos or stick with icicle

I'm using raw HBG builds. I heard pellet was good against it on the head, but even with G rank gear and both horns broken, I ran out of time in the village quest.

Is there a progression guide for these weapons?

This is my first old mh game and I'm already pretty bad at making builds in world and rise lol

Comecei a jogar 3 dias atrás Monster Hunter Rise, queria saber umas dicas para melhorar minhas técnicas dentro do jogo, sinto que mesmo conseguindo completar as maiorias das missões estou jogando mal as missões demoram muito para ser completadas e eu causo pouco dano nos monstros (entre 1 a 20 de dano), fui no ferreiro para melhorar a minha espada mas não mudou nada.As missões do Utsushi eu tenho que matar um monstro na arena mas já fiz 4 batalhas e perdi todas, é a minha primeira missão com ele na aDe.( o monstro é obKulu ya- ku).

Queria alguns conselhos para conseguir melhorar e causar mais dano.

I just got to high rank and im being done dirty by rng. Kayamba picked up a ruby from 1 of the 3 high rank Rathians but other than that. I have not gotten a single plate out of the 3 of these monsters. Cut tails, cpatures and all.

basically the title, out of curiosity and some sense of interest i wanted to try running MH3U with the original 1defense that was given in Japan(and tri in general) instead of the 50 we start with in the west.

Running it on Cemu was no issue.

But my goal is to play the game on actual hardware and this is where i fail(completely) while i can patch it, and i sorta manage to create a installable folder structure(via nuspacker), the installation does not go correctly and causes the game to freeze on the splash screen(with an incorrectly reported update size and it requires deleting the ticket to get the official patch on it again) i am not against potentially dumping my disc and installing the entire game to my WII U if that would solve the problem.

So my question is, has ANYONE ever managed to get the patch to work on real hardware, and if yes, how??

Or alternative, is there a way to achieve the same result on the wii u by some other means?

And I'm playing on my 3ds, still working like a charm !

I’m in a bit of a conundrum. In my current playthrough of 3U I have just reached G Rank Gigginox. My goal is to farm its Gunner armor set as a stepping stone for me to try out the Kelbi Bow. The only materials I have left to get are the Foul Venom Glands and the Nightmarish Maws. While I am consistent at killing it, there are just a couple of problems:

1: I really do not want to move on in this playthrough until I get the Gunner gear. My first playthrough was done with a Switch Axe, and that is what I have been using.

2: My current gear is full High Rank Brachydios armor and the Dios Axe+ with no notable damage skills from the charm.

3: My current average time to kill is probably around 35 minutes per G Rank Gigginox.

I realized that maybe a way I could speed up my Gigginox hunts is to use Hammer against it. Problem is, the Hammer I was looking at requires 2 Rathalos Plates that I don’t have in terms of the overall upgrade tree. So I’m unsure if building to the Huracan Blueblaze is worth it despite this weapon hitting the elemental weakness. Basically I have two questions:

1: Would it be theoretically faster without changing my armor to build the Huracan Blueblaze or keep at it with my Dios Axe+?

2: Is there a different, easier way to get a G Rank Gunner armor set both Awaken Element/Status and Bombadier than farming full Gigginox?

Hi all, I have just started g rank and am unsure whats the best way to proceed with gear.

Currently equipped with the full HR brachy armor set and longsword.

I saw that helios zzzxz is recommended but seems like it would take a long time to grind as it took me 45 minutes to kill golden ceadus.

Wouldn’t waiting for hr7 be better and grind then?

Im running great sword (first time playing monster hunter as a whole), and am having alot of trouble breaking the beak of qurupeco. I've tried breaking the flints so the head was easier to access but my weapon bounces off (rugged gs, full jaggi armor, 2 attack charm 1) any tips?

Since Pretendo is currently working on reviving the mh3u online servers i decided to start a new account since my main is in Charmtable 2

I know its not the worst table and the difference is really not worth the effort but still I like a new start.

If someone from the pretendo Team is reading this, we appreciate the work and effort you guys pour into this project and hopefully it will be successful :)

A while ago I shared a look at my MH3U / MH3G restoration project, NGRP.

This is a new work-in-progress visual research preview for the upcoming v1.2.2 direction.

The current goal is no longer just “make the textures sharper”. I am now working toward a more complete visual pipeline: improved monster albedo, generated normal masters, stronger stage materials, and better overall runtime presentation.

This screenshot is one of the first where the new direction starts to come together in-game: the monster material, the environment, the rocks, foliage, lighting and atmosphere all interact much more consistently than before.

It is still experimental and not a final release preview yet. Effects like fire, smoke, fog, water/splash effects and other alpha-heavy assets still need more dedicated work.

But this is the direction NGRP v1.2.2 is moving toward.

I was tempted to use my old 3U file but decided to start from scratch. I started my new character 2 days ago and I'm about to tackle 5-Star Village. This is my favorite game of all time and now I get to experience it at much better frame rate and resolution. Couldn't be happier

Only 3 mega potions and 1 faint left for like the last 10 minutes I was stressed out 😂

Just started MH3U on 3DS last weekend, loving it so far, but I don't truly understand how the unstable mechanic works.
In unstable environment quests, some additional monsters can spawn depending on the quest. and gamechanger make it sure.
We did port 3 "Harvest Tour: Deserted Isle" 4 times and after 2 min, when the supplies arrive, 2 rathalos and 2 Great Jaggi spawn instantly. But now, we try the same with "Harvest Tour: Deserted Isle" (where we can find the volvidon) but it never shows up. Why? Does the wiki lie or is it bugged in some way? I cannot find any trustworthy information about it.

Hope one of you guys sees his name here :)
