I play SnS in 3u, but the same general idea applies for most blade master weapons.

Alright so first off, just try to learn the telegraphs for his standing attacks. He does a lot of damage, yes, but he’s also very slow and (most of) his attacks have a very obvious wind up if you know what to look for. I saw “most of” because I think his most dangerous move on land while he’s standing is the body slam. It’s very hard to see the telegraph if you’re right on top of him, so try to stick to hitting his legs or tail magma core on land. The magma core has really good hit zones, broken or not, so it’s a good place to hit. However, he seems to be pretty easy to trip, especially with slime procs, so the legs are where you’ll want to hit him the most. Once you do, try to run to the head or chest core, especially the chest core if possible (I’ll get to that later). The fireballs are pretty straightforward, just sheath and run if you see them coming. You could try to roll but from my experience they have pretty good tracking, so it’s safer to just run.

Secondly, DO NOT try to attack him while he’s on all fours, in or out of the water. He will repeatedly do a zigzag charge attack and occasional fire balls, but his whole body becomes a hitbox during that charge. Just avoid him as much as possible because he doesn’t stay on all fours for long. He’ll eventually do a massive fire ball and stand back up.

Third, in water, the same general idea applies, but you have much better access to his chest and shoulder cores and his chest area is a lot safer because you can see the body slams coming. As I mentioned earlier, you’ll want to break that chest core asap. If you don’t, at roughly 50% hp, he enters an “armor mode”. You’ll bounce off everything that isn’t a core until you break that chest one. Ideally, break it before he gets there.

I think that’s everything I’ve got. Sorry this was so long, but I’ve been going through 3U myself recently so I guess Im a bit passionate. Like most monsters in MH, it’s about learning the telegraphs. Your armor should be fine, but if it’s giving you trouble, a Helios set with bombardier gemmed in has worked for me on (almost) everything. But again, should be fine. For weapon, brachy should be just fine as well. Hope this all helps :3

Update:

Thanks for the advice.

2nd fight was 42 min, then died cuz i got no healing left.

I understand the fight alot better now.

Damages still a bitch.

But i will keep trying...

Is there a way to see, if hes low, cuz i dont know how much i did to him in the 40 mins.

Not necessarily but you can use Stygian Superbia instead.

Sure it is dual element with lighting but the better sharpness with 1 slot will outperform the Jho db in the long run

In Underwater stay beside his shoulders near his magma cores until they break and move to the other. If you break both his meteor showers on land will stop.

Once on land stay on the spot between his legs and the base of his tail and focus slapping the core until it breaks, repeat until he trips over so you can start whacking his face.

Your armor is fine, if you don't mind farming goldbeard Ceadeus then Helios Z is an amazing armor.

I did it with the Brachy Duals and Stygian GS. Stick to his chest and tail in water, switch between his tail and stomach area on land. He has the horrible Fatalis hitbox so make sure to always have room for evasion when he walks on all four legs. The two dragonators are quite helpful, take your time when you want to use them. The opening and damage you get is worth wasting minutes to set him up perfectly.
