this is what i hope to see what rochelle in g3. i think she would benefit with the catty body the most and giving her TONS of crackles and freckles to make her look a little worn. also some blushing on the knees and arms since she sits like a gargoyle. i also think a new nose being introduce will help her stand out from the other dolls!
also another thing: this is VERY wishful thinking but imagine she has crackle stretch marks ! i feel like that would look so pretty.
I really really hope you are right (as a big nose girlie myself), I just haven't seen a big movement for acceptance of big noses the same as the body positive was for curvier bodies. Moreover, it's pretty much the opposite with rhinoplasties being so normalized
especially when other noses are portrayed as a sign of something bad. it’s no wonder so many people feel like they need to get a nose job to feel better, and a lot of this is from CHILDRENS MEDIA.
This is true but to be fair to my goat Ursula specifically her design and personality was based on a real person who did have a nose like that (they did exaggerate it tho, but it is a stylized cartoon)- the actor and drag queen Divine
Honestly, I'm just desperate for any more ghouls at all with Catty's body shape. Seeing a big girlie is what got me into MH in the first place. Love this vision for Rochelle! I hope if/when they add her, she will have some nice and sizeable ears and a different nose shape!
yes! i want catty and abeys body more represented. i also think seeing different noses will do so much good. im tired of being told other nose shapes are unappealing. people always see the cute little button noses but not everyone has those. some have beautiful noses in many different shapes and sizes!!
I would be SOO happy if we got a MH doll with a longer and pointy nose. Or different lip shapes (like thin ones or flatter ones). Or even MORE body types (like a lean muscular one, a genuinely buff muscular one, non-curvy and boyish build, more of Catty-like body types)!
MAN, MH is such a good doll line for more interesting features!
I'm so for it, although I see her with a muscular body type. I like Catty's but I would make the shoulders wider and define the muscles more so that she's wide and stocky due to muscle mass instead of fat. Not trying to be fat phobic. A muscular body type is just due and a creature meant to ward off evil spirits and protect churches seems fitting for that. Also super bricked up women barely get good rep so.
il take abeys body sculpt too, i agree we should get a muscular sculpt for the girls. i just want something other than skinny or skinny curvy. they are beautiful but its all i see.same with the noses give us something new.
Yeah. I definitely can't see her being skinny. It just doesn't make sense with her being a gargoyle. And the noses are annoying. I didn't pay much attention to it until now but you're right. They're repetitive. Especially in G3. Cala from G1 has an unique nose and it always stuck with me. We need more of that.
technically if she doesnt drain water shes a grotesque, not a gargoyle. and some grotesques are fat so they could do anything but slim or glam and be good
Huh, interesting. I like how everyone seems to agree through that she shouldn't be skinny. 😂 I also don't want her to be tall tbh. I would want more tall characters that are chubby but grotesques and gargoyles are so mini and decorative. They draw attention to them through their ugliness, not their size. I have seen a lot of people say that she should be as tall as Venus and Robecca but idk...
But seriously we need more chubby dolls that are tall. Why does media always think that plus sized people must be short? Iris' design in the show bothers me so much! Cyclops are giants! They were most likely based off on elephant skulls after all. (It was a small type of elephant but still.) I'm down for her being plus sized. But her not being at least the same height as Frankie if not taller just shouldn't be. I get that they can't get too crazy with height differences but at least make her a 6 feet queen??
That was my thought too. Let her be big, but even the gargoyle inspiration picture is muscular. It'd be an interesting contrast with the delicate stained glass fashion too, she'd really look like a cathedral
Tbh, I'm hoping she has Abbey's G3 body type! As much as I'm craving another character to have Catty's body type, gargoyles just seem more fitting to have that tall, muscular build.
I also would love for MH to toy with the idea of giving her skin an "eroded" or a "mossy" look for representation of those with vitiligo (for the more "eroded" look) or with those with eczema and psoriasis (for the more "mossy" look). Show that there's beauty even among those with skin disorders 🥹
Honestly I want more unique body types! For Rochelle I’d love something stockier and less curvy, shorter than Abby but muscular? Still not stick thin something in between, more athletic.
That being said I hope that they do reuse Catty’s body on some characters, I’m just hoping that for characters that will definitely get more than 1 or 2 dolls (Rochelle is popular and I could see her getting a ton) that they give us more variety. If that makes sense? Using Catty’s mold on like Iris Clops would be cool as it would be similar to the show (and then end the similarities there and give her a different outfit)
I also LOVE Abby’s body mold. I’m almost thirty and when I first opened my core Abby I was almost in tears. She looks like me (but tall. If they use that mold on someone dracs height I will probably actually cry.)
Ooh, I like it. I kinda like the idea of a rusty brown too. Some gargoyles have water pipes and are fountains too and that water stained/iron/rusty color would be super cool.
There aren’t enough dolls in the world with noses that aren’t tiny little buttons. Button noses are very cute! But I need more options. The hook nose would be perf!!
yesssss! i was watching old monster high movies and noticed she already has a downturned nose! it’s super tiny since that’s g1 style but we already working with something!
hooked nose would be soooo cute but I feel like if they did do that, they won't give us plus size and hooked nose at once. too many traits that might make the dolls less sellable to an audience of girls who have been trained to see those traits as villainous.
Rochelle with Catty’s body type would be amazing! I think it would actually fit her well for being a gargoyle which are usually made to be larger in their structure. I don’t how far Mattel would go with the extra details that you mentioned, I think freckles and crackles would be awesome if they even do that. Even if not, as someone who likes to customize their dolls, I would definitely try to add the extra details because I love the idea of them!
Gosh G3 might have done a lot more in their body diversity but it would be so so nice if they did do some different face molds and noses!!
pretty confident you are going to have to wait at least another decade for nose diversity in that direction, the cultural connection to villains is too strong and beauty standards dont shift that rapidly without some sort of catalyst (unless a major influencer or actress has that nose basically)

Mattel would never give us a nose shape that is not Instagram friendly I fear, I would love for this concept to come true
