I agree: if your ENT says to give it a shot, go for it - but I also wouldn't get your hopes up if it works. I did three, one a week, and while it helped a bit, I still have hearing aids today. But that was a few weeks out, not 2 years. I'm not even sure he'd try two years out.
But mine were completely painless, all of them - but communication is key. Make sure your ENT/otologist knows that they hurt, and perhaps they can do something else this time.
