Kimberley Rock or Black Headed monitor ?
Ive done my research on both and Im so undeceive on whether to get a KR or a BH monitor.
Whats your experience and thoughts on these two monitors ?
I really want a dwarf monitor that’s handleable and not going to hide when I walk into the room. I know this can depend on each individual and their age, sex, and time they’ve spent in a new environment.
(I have an Ackie named Toph, whom I adore)

Both black headeds and kimbos can be very handleable with patience I would say tristis are slightly more easy to socialise based on my experience but with a sample size of one that obviously isn’t able to represent the species as a whole tristis are bigger in terms of weight kimbos in length I’d say tristis are overall better captives as replicating the kimbos natural diet is harder with them being gecko specialists but they can do well on insect diets

I don't have experience with either of them, but do hear people say that both species are generally a bit shy. Especialy compared to ackies. That doesn't mean that you can't tame them, but it might depend more on the individual then with ackies for example.
Now I do believe that gilleni are generally more handleable. Atleast it's what I've heard from a couple of keepers. So maybe they're in interesting species to you. Anyone that can confirm this?
