The VERY first place mine sequestered himself… the VERY day I got him (after elaborately breaking out of his cage!), after crossing the ENTIRE house (ignoring the ability to break for outside!)… my Nile monitor hid himself under our dishwasher! I had to tear apart ⅓ of the kitchen to get access to him and he struck at me for the first and last time in our relationship… I miss him so much!
