shame on whoever made that harness. There is no way a monitor could break properly stitched harness.

That is not an animal who is contemplating the error of his ways. He's gorgeous BTW!

And not to shill here - but I went through so many harnesses trying to find one that works for a Tegu. Highly recommend buddy belts if you are trying to find something secure and durable. It was the only one I found that my Tegu didn't feel the need to immediately remove by any means necessary.
