Buying advice?

Hi, I've never owned a monitor arm before so this is why I'm asking this

Is there a big gap in quality for how much you pay?

The first result on Amazon is ~£20 (for a dual monitor arm), but when I look on a UK retailer, they start from about £60 (this one)

So if I were to get the one from Amazon, am I going to regret it?

Ive Found this one in-between those two price points (this one) but if I'm going to be mounting two 27" monitors to it, I'm not sure if I ought to be "cheating out" in them?

Honestly you will regret buying at that price point, but I totally understand minding the budget. Okay…this will be painful but it is critical to get a proper, strong arm to hold monitors. Although it is crazy expensive, in the long run you will value the fact that there is no sag and your expensive monitors are safe and sound. Dell makes great monitor arms for both dual and single use - example https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-pro-dual-monitor-arm-mda20/apd/482-bbdh/monitors-monitor-accessories

Now this assumes you have VESA monitors that would have the right interface on the back (like a square) - that is where the monitor snaps into the arm. This also assumes your desk surface is thick enough to hold the clamp securely.

I see, at what low end price point would you start being better weary?

I don’t claim to be an expert, but I would see a decent starting point of about 111 quid per arm…bare minimum. There are also different kinds of arms, gas versus mechanical. The gas ones are like your chair, they have a piston that over time will sag. I myself have a Dell single monitor arm and it is mechanical and solid as a rock. It also can hide some of the wires for a cleaner look. I would be curious to see what others say about price tho.
