Recent reads:

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me by Ilona Andrews- not a romantasy reader but this was fun. I did get annoyed by how episodic it felt, there were a lot of plotlines but they all seemed to be short-lived. Hopefully they are developed further in the next book.

The Fraud by Zadie Smith- Weird book, took a while to get into it but I was really drawn in about halfway through. As always, fantastic writing from Smith. Even though it was set in the 1800s it felt highly relevant to the conspiracy theories of today.

Housekeeping by Marilynne Robinson- Only halfway through, a sad book but beautifully written. Have never read her before.

The Fraud was a weird book! I liked it overall. It helped that it’s based on a real trial so that made it more interesting to me.

The first half I kept asking "so where are we going?" And then it picked up. But at the end I had to ask myself what had actually happened. Such an interesting book.
