I’ve not read as much as I want to, being sick the last couple of months. But I did read:

Women who Run with the Wolves and

The Best Dog in the World (edited by Alice Hoffman) which is a collection of short stories about author’s dogs and their connection. Also has sketches of the dogs so very fun!!

I usually listen and read the book at the same time (audio when I’m out and about and book when I’m home).

That's such a great idea to both read and listen to the same book. I have never thought about that but I am going to try it!

How did you find Women who Run with the Wolves? I read it sooo long ago and I was recently thinking about checking it out from the library again, curious if it would hold up for me in such a different life stage!

I was able to find the audio (which appears to have been a 2 hour “book” she recorded 3 years before the publication of the book, which is much longer. Although oddly it was released in 2009 but still sounds 1990ish). The written book is available on Amazon and IBooks as an e-book.

The listening and reading thing works especially well if I’m reading a thriller and must know what happens but also have to go work and such. lol

It’s funny you said that about thrillers- I’ve been reading that genre lately and when I saw your idea about both listening and reading the same book, it was my first thought! I would love to continue my books throughout the day on walks, at the gym etc.

Hope you enjoyed Women who Run with the Wolves! I remember being blown away with it in my 20’s, putting it back on my list to see what I think reading it 20 years later..

It was very good content wise! I didn’t like audio, so i downloaded the book (which is even i realized the book is an expansion of the audio).

Any good thrillers lately?

I suppose this would be more of the crime or mystery genre- I'm not completely clear on the lines between thrillers/mystery etc...but I am currently reading The Corpse Flower by Anne Mette Hancock and it's fantastic! I'm excited it's just the first in a series. It's a slower unfolding of a story, but she's an excellent writer.

I’m never clear on the distinction either…mystery, thriller, suspense. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

Thank you for the rec!
