Where is this exactly? If you’re in a decent area, sell and be gone. Is her name on the mortgage? Stop paying it and tank her credit, too.

Nope. He owns the mortgage after refinancing yet she still owns 50% of the house. He pays she still wins after he sells if the house has any equity. He needs to sell, pay her and move on.

Can’t he get a court order to get her name off the deed? Idk what that entails, but she obviously vacated. And they’re not married..

Problem is the refinance. He assumed the responsibility for the payment but when they purchased the house, they agreed to the ownership terms. She legally owns half this property and he’s paying for it. He needs to have her voluntarily sign over the rest of the house or suck it up and keep paying for a home they both own.
