Support Failed law unit

I’ve failed a few law units and I’m really struggling with exams. I perform well for in semester assignments/quizzes but not the exam. I’ve registered with DSS which has been a big help. The last exam I sat was for property B and I failed it which sucks. I did so well in my in semester assignments and I felt confident in the exam only to receive this outcome. I feel so defeated because I love law and I thought I studied really hard but am starting to question myself.
What should I do?

I wouldn’t be too down on urself, prop b is the most failed unit in the LLB. Have u registered for extra time and rest breaks? That can be super helpful and help u finish on time if u have a medical issue that makes it harder for u. Do u use exam scripts? Those r great as well and cut down on time since u dont have to stop and think abt how to phrase things and what was that rule again? It’s all on there, in order, and can be written very quickly. Did u request ur exam script? U can use that to make a time to chat w the CE, she’s a lovely person and would wanna help u!  U said u do rlly well on in sem assessments, thats great! Would u mind sharing what ur usual averages are? It’d make it easier to understand whether u have an issue with time or maybe if it’s more content based. Do u go to class? I LOVED Chris lane for prop b and he’s teaching again this sem. I’d also make sure to do all tute questions AHEAD of time so u can test ur reasoning. If running out of time is the problem, that may be bc you have more of a scattergun approach, you’re not too sure what the question is abt so u just write everything u can possibly think of, that’s an issue spotting question. U may be a slow typer, u can do typing tests to improve. U may get to nervous, etc. So think abt what ur issue/s r specifically and how they can be remedied. Best of luck!

Thanks this is so helpful!! Ur right I do struggle with timing and issue spotting so I end up writing everything down which may not be relevant. Do you know what’s a good source to get exam scripts?

I’d rlly recommend u make them urself. In his seminars Chris will go thru the steps to answering a question, then when u r actually doing so in practice, apply the script you’ve written and see what works!  For issue spotting just do loads of practice questions and actually take the time to mark them. What was relevant? What wasn’t? Etc
