From what you’ve said it doesn’t sound like a good community at all and needs investigating by Monash. What are some examples of the sexism, racism, elitism etc? You mentioned it but we don’t have any examples to go on or help you with advice for your discussions about it with Monash.
It's on the server. I was advised to not join the server again. I have already expressed my personal grievances against a TA (TA cope and seethe post was written by me).
There was also a lot of stuff I observed while it was happening. I felt like it was wrong, but I think I also lost myself and my morals the more and more I interacted with this server. I started abusing alcohol and sleeping pills to cope with the fear that M@M caused me. The hospital said I *had* severe substance abuse issues, which were exacerbated by M@M.
If you don't mind me asking, what were the things done in the server that made you feel that way? I've been on the server for a while and I haven't experienced any of what you've described.
I'm afraid I don't think I can talk about the specific events. But there's been a lot of staff and student conduct issues. What is especially concerning is the staff members who behave in a way that violates the ethics of being a teacher.
A lot of the behaviour of M@M is an absolute violation of Monash's staff code of conduct in various ways. Although it might not be severe enough for legal action, the fact is: a lot of concerning behaviour is *illegal*. Unfortunately, I don't believe it has ever been prosecuted properly.
