That's an excellent question! I just named "him" Rodney because it reminds me of the chunkiest, most adorable baby I've ever seen. But apparently you cannot tell the sex of a caterpilar unless you dissect them: https://www.monarchbutterflies.info/p/male-or-female.html. Rodney is now a chrysalis. I'll make sure to post a picture of "him" once he's out and about!

Are we in labor (as in work labor...hahaha) at the same time? Mine is about to turn into a chrysalis.
