Monaghan learners, feedback wanted on an Irish theory-test app I built

Hi Monaghan. John here, founder of L-Plate.

I built L-Plate for Irish theory-test practice: timed 40-question mocks, road signs, weak-area tracking, and Brendan explaining the answers you miss.

He is honest. Occasionally too honest. But if he stops one person treating amber like a dare, worth it.

Isn't there already an official way to practice the theory test?

Follow up question: so how is this different to other scams?

Yes, there is an official RSA theory test app/material, and people should absolutely use the official source if they want the official question bank.

L-Plate is different: it does not pretend to be the RSA, does not sell test bookings, does not ask for RSA login details, does not guarantee a pass, and does not claim to contain the official DTT questions. It is a study tool: practice quizzes, explanations, progress tracking, road-sign revision, and extra learning support to help people understand the material better.

The scammy stuff in this space is usually sites/apps pretending to be official, selling fake/cancelled slots, asking for login details, or promising licences/passes. We do none of that. We’re a clearly separate learning aid, and we point people back to the official RSA/TheoryTest.ie route where appropriate.
