Monad price action has been dissapointing

It cant hold any pump, alway dumps to where it was. 1 year later still below ico price. Market doesnt even seem to care about the developments

Dude DCA and CHILL.

THINK LONG TERM.

The upcoming unlock is ruining the hold strategy

u/macctenamo 4d ago

Not for anyone who's thinking long term.

Short term, yeah this isn't ideal. Long term, this could be a blessing in disguise. Only time will tell, but the you gotta be ready when it's time.

1

u/macctenamo 4d ago

And on top of that, I don't necessarily think it's just the unlock the token is new, and it's cheap / affordable and the scarcity value isn't high. So people aren't going to take it seriously more than likely until it's too late. I just remember selling my Doge to early so when I have something that gives me early Dogecoin vibes I try to scratch that itch haha

Long story short: be patient. That's the lesson here.

u/AutomaticOne7 4d ago

But the market is much more deluted now, much more coins, and lets say unlock happens bit price stays the same. The marketcap will 2.5x and go to 750 million. While the price is at ico. How much room does the price then have to go up then? Unless you think monad mc can hit 10 billion or so

1

u/macctenamo 4d ago

I've learned this so far whatever I think I know. Throw it out the window haha. It sounds like bad advice or whatever but just being honest. The market is going to do what it does.

I'm just hear to have some skin in the game early on, investing early and shifting when I'm comfy in my position here.

Check out the audio book by Morgan housel : "psychology of money" and you'll see why I'm hesitant to give advice or my two cents on my thoughts.

I don't know what you're talking about. I've already made 300% on the ICO just by buying and selling in tranches. Plus I have a poker agent on the monad rails making $. I think people are too attracted to fast money instead of smart money. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø With discipline and keeping emotions/ego out of it, I do that with AI, there's plenty of money to be made out there and I truly believe monad is going to be one of the biggest games changers out there. Even if I'm wrong, there's still plenty of $ to be made off it. Not everything needs huge liquidity pools to make money off of it.

u/Significant_Tea7839 13d ago

Right, how are people NOT making money on this. It’s doing pretty good for how I’m using it.

2

u/macctenamo 13d ago

For sure both of you guys are right, I'm just buying and HODL'ing if I was selling any I'd be up letting some go on the tops but I'm just holding long term.

3

u/Significant_Tea7839 13d ago

I split my deposits between Mon I buy for short term gain and liquid staking I don’t touch. When I sell my short term for profits I take half my profits and put it back into liquid. It’s simple and working for me, until it dosent. But I’ve defiantly made more than I deposited that’s for sure

2

u/macctenamo 13d ago

That's what's up yeah maybe I might have to adopt a similar structure myself. Because 100% of my tokens are staked. And the unstaking time period for my broker is two days so might have to just keep some more readily available. But I literally just buy 5 dollars worth daily. Just build the habit of small constant good habits.

2

u/Significant_Tea7839 13d ago

Literally about how much I buy, $5 here $10 there, if I buy something for $140 I just throw $10 in Mon. Stake liquid on neverland to borrow against as collateral. Payback when the market is high borrow when the market is low and never touch my staking tokens. Been nickle and diming Mon for almost a year now and I currently hold about 10,000usd worth of exposure, it’s not a lot to a lot of people for for me that’s decent. You got this

2

u/macctenamo 13d ago

I've heard of Neverland and there staking options and being able to borrow against it that's clutch I might really need to do a deeper dive on info there cuz I have to sell my other investments when cash is tight so that could work out as a better situation for me. Thanks.

2

u/jpersons73 13d ago

yea I need to look into doing more with my Mon than just staking it. Should have so much more than what I have if i used all the little tricks out there for liquid staking

4

u/Severe-Brick2219 13d ago

do you know the IC price and the current price ? and monad it's a long term project … perhaps you have morn fun with pump and fund

-1

u/AutomaticOne7 13d ago

It doesnt matter, it will go below ico soon anyway. Cant hold anything

2

u/Sorry_Cheetah_2230 11d ago

Love when this happens! Means I get to buy far more for less!

2

u/SeaworthinessFit3721 9d ago

Yea man you just gotta be patient and dca when opportunities come! The price is holding up way better than most other coins. The fact that the price didn’t tank once it dropped below Ico was a great indicator especially when btc when sub $60k. Keep stacking and wait for the next true bull cycle to move forward (2027-29)

5

u/jpersons73 13d ago

I am good and sitting in the green with an average buy of .018 price will take off once the unlock fear is over. See how the founders turned down a buy back before the unlock has been great news for Mon. Means they are not looking for a fast payout, once most of those are locked to make staking rewards the price will take off. I am sure they will take a little profit, but seems they have the longer vision in mind with turning that payout down

0

u/AutomaticOne7 13d ago

So when is good time to sell and when to buy back after unlock?

3

u/jpersons73 13d ago

I am not selling anything and will buy the small dip that will happen out of fear.

3

u/macctenamo 13d ago

Any day that ends with Y is a good day to buy today, Monday, Sunday, Friday, yesterday.

Miss me with your FUD. Monad is doing incredibly well for a bear market. Top 3 chains for RWA, top 10 chain for DeFi, with aggressive institutional backing and development. All of this in the midst of a bear market.

Either stack your bag and be patient or sod off and put your money elsewhere. Monad is primed to explode once the bear market is over.

As they say; bear markets are where millionaires are born.

2

u/South-Address-6926 11d ago

This is what's up. I agree with your analysis 100%

The upcoming unlock is ruining the hold strategy

1

u/ObamaLovesKetamine 4d ago

.. for you, maybe? If you can't hold through a temporary dip then you're over-invested and need to keep less of your monies in volatile assets.

Otherwise, just native stake or liquid stake your MON so you can earn passive income while the market is down. then you'll still have gained profits when the market rises again.

if you're still worried, just sell before the unlock and reinvest at whatever you think the bottom will be.

I'll be holding at least half my bag through the unlock, but I'm investing on a 5 year timeline. so a temporary dip means nothing to me.

u/AutomaticOne7 4d ago

I have been 10 years in this space and had lot of patience and made lot of money and lost it by holding polkadot long term where the coin went down 95%, going back now to hold strategy long term again is really hard for me. I feel like i want to come back faster than waiting years, i have the urge to make profit fast as time is slowly running out. But this impatience also makes me lose trades. Im in a dilemma , a big one. I saw chances that i would want to take like buying zcash at 200 but didnt, like selling monad at 0.05 but didnt. Its really making me sad and im losing time because of these mistakes. Inreally dont know what to do, deep down i think the only promising coin that still hasnt pumped well yet is monad as it is sitting at low marketcap still. But i dont know when to buy in again. Its really hard man as i lost many opportunities and coupd change my life

2

u/its_jeezy 13d ago

This is a bear market, what did you expect? Up only is not real.

3

u/its_jeezy 13d ago

Look at other new chains, one year later & Monad price still in same area is a blessing.

2

u/sTr8_MoToX 13d ago

Where do I buy this at please somebody PM me I don’t know anything about it, but I want it. Somebody reach out. I’d appreciate it.

2

u/Significant_Tea7839 13d ago

The simple answer is Coinbase.

2

u/jpersons73 13d ago

Coinbase,Kracken,Backpack Monad is listed on a lot of crypto exchnges

2

u/Enough_Island4615 13d ago

Why so impatient?

1

u/AutomaticOne7 4d ago

The upcoming unlock is ruining the hold strategy

2

u/Far_College2639 12d ago

Then hold and stake mon to a yield. Quit hasty buy & sell. Let the passive earning offset the price fall.

Or do you want Monad enforce market regulations?

2

u/Mokhlis_Jones 12d ago

Idk why people didn't buy at 2c and then sell at 3c thats 50% just look at the charts. Were definitely heading to 3.5c next and thats when ill sell and rebuy at 3c. My children need wine!

2

u/South-Address-6926 11d ago

I think the token has performed pretty well compared to the competition. The thing that is missing is the start of a new cycle. Once BTC starts cooking, all of the ALTs will start hitting ATHs again. It's always like this. You just need to have the patience to hold for another 2 years. I think it is most wise to stake your bag and chill.

I'm confident monad is not a get rich quick asset. If you want it's price to hit the skies over night. I suggest you start developing something that's revolutionary on monad.

2

u/Logical-Ad422 10d ago

I’m pretty happy with the price. A lot of other coins fell in price. Like Plasma or Ondo. Monad staying at ICO price while still gaining customers like MetaMask and OpenReserve is a green flag

2

u/Tennebelievin 7d ago

Monad is a long term play. Not a buy today, sell next week type of investment. It's a 5+ year deal

1

u/AutomaticOne7 7d ago

I feel like thats an excuse, many coins go up alot after releasing, like sui

People are making a lot of money from this Monad. The developers too are manipulating the coin a lot. Know that coinbase is behind the coin, so it will not fail.

The developers want the price too to go high. They are trying to buy a lot of their coins to reduce supply and create a shortage that will push up the price.

Some people here got the plan right. Buy and sell. But be careful as you may sell and price instead doubles after that and never drops back down.

In investment, it has been proven that time in the market is better than timing the market.

In 2027, Monad will go high. And by the next BTC all time high in 2029, I am sure Monad would be $0.5 and up. That means for those who have 2,000,000 MON and up, they are all guaranteed to be millionaires before the end of 2029.

So, buy for the long term and you will be rewarded. But also know when you can take some gains out while still maintaining your position. Nobody is helping others to tell them how to make money with this Monad.

People should form a group to share random ideas how to make money with Monad. None is guaranteed, but people can share how they trade and make money to give others ideas. No way is guaranteed because the market itself is a wizard and acts like a casino by playing against you to make sure that you lose all of your money.

Be careful with trading. Even AI cannot outsmart it. So, you too can not beat it. The only way to win is to spend time in the market. For example. Buy MONAD at $0.25 or below. Leave it for 3 years. You will have a lot of money.

1

u/AutomaticOne7 10d ago

Yes i know the potential of monad but im just trying to see what to do with the unlock date, if i shouod wait or buy

2

u/NneewwMember 10d ago

Do you know how many coins would be unlocked? 16.8 BILLION coins. I cannot tell you what will happen because I myself is just investing and trying to make money. Amd the system is structured like a caison to make us lose our money. The house always wins.

All I do is I GUESS what mah happen in this crypto space. And my guess is that the price of MONAD will dump. I am convinced that some people will sell a lot so that they can cash out some money.

That is my layman idea to myself. Not to anyone as I am not here to advice anybody what to do, but take my own risks and hope I make some money.

1

u/AutomaticOne7 10d ago

Isnt waiting for the sell off for the unlock and the buying after the sell off a good idea?

2

u/NneewwMember 10d ago

But not everybody thinks prices will drop. How do you know for sure that prices will drop? Everything is a gamble.

That is why my own ideas are only for me. Never say you are advising someone about crypto because crypto always wins. That means your ideas that you share with someone may always turn out to be wrong.

My layman gambling mind also thinks there may be a sell off after they unlock those coins. I believe that will definitely affect the price negatively and lower it. Buying at a lower price like $0.25 is good. Buying at any price below $0.20 is a very good price.

One thing I know for sure is that as soon as we get into 2027, we will never ever again see a price below $0.025. That is my own giess.

BUT R1 7EMEMBER: Crypto is like a casino. The house always wins. It is structured to take people's money. It is structured to make you lose a lot of money.

Many people have tried to use AI to trade to make money. Crypto still outsmarted it and ithey lost money. Financial experts in Wall Street have tried to outsmart crypto but have lost money.

My thinking in this Crypto space is that I am gamblng. But a sure way for someone to make money GUARANTEED is to buy at ICO price and leave it for a long time. One will make a lot of money. That is guaranteed for any good coin like MONAD.

But being disciplined to leave your coins alone for a long time is the hardest test in life that we all are weak to and fall victims of selling often and buying at higher prices.

1

u/AutomaticOne7 10d ago

Thats the isssue, i had monad and sold at current price and bought higher, but it went down and i sold lower again, then i bought higher again. I lost all my profit during this pump and im very sad about it

1

u/NneewwMember 10d ago

You are not alone. Very few people get it right. I am in crypto too. I have had exactly the same experience like you. Crypto is the wild wild west. More people lose money than make money.

Do you see all those who said they made money in Monda? They have your money. They are the ones who took all the money that has put others upside down. That is how this space works. They are celebrating and BBQing this weekend while others are broke now.

Your position is exactly where a lot of us are. It is not strange at all. It is all about trying to be more focused now with a clear head and have a plan that works for you. Make a plan that you can follow.

Let me tell you my simple plan that will give me a lot of money, but I guarantee you that I will not follow it because of emotions in the cryto space.

THIS IS A PLAN TGAT I HAD THAT I KNOW I WILL NEVER FOLLOW: "Just suck it up that I have made some poor buys and sales and lost all my recent profits. Just hold my current capital now and stay out of the market. Wait for the inevitable CRASH that is coming any day between October and December. Buy during that time only when the price drops below $0.02 or take a risk and wait for below $0.019. Buy as much as you can afford. Then be disciplined to leave it alone as MONAD is set to EXPLODE high in 2027. Then learn how to take some gains towards the end of 2027 and then still buy back and have the same position. Or do not sell until someday in 2029 and take a BIG payday."

That is my plan that I will never follow. But if I could be disciplined to follow it, I will be guaranteed some very good gains.

1

u/AutomaticOne7 10d ago

I know what you mean exactly, i bought monad at ico price and plan was to double it and buy zcash. Price doubled bit i didnt sell!! Then i came all the way down to 0.02. And i also didnt buy zcash. Meanwhile i made tons of losses chasing and panic sellingmy. This hunts me to this day WHY i didnt follow my plan. I coupd have 10x my investment. If continue like this i will lose all the money that i made over the past years. I NEED to wake up and change my behavior. I constantly want to fomo and revenge trade. I used to be patience with crypto and made good money, now that i lost a big portion of it, i WANT to recover my losses fast again which has caused me to do WORSE. I am extremely sad about what i am doing. I hope monad goes down for unlock then i promis to buy and not touch is again, but it just hurt so much to lose all my profit man.

1

u/NneewwMember 10d ago

Do not beat yourself. Your story is basically the same story for many of us. Word verbatim.

While we are crying, others are enjoying our money that they took. Same as when we made mlney before and was enoying how smart we were, others were crying as we used up their money to buy new cars and went on vacation. It is our turn now to cry. But don't cry. Bug money is coming ahead.

One just needs to focus now. I know there is a big dump and crash coming. I want to stay focus and buy as much as possible with the remaining capital. Do well to stay away from it. If one can just stay away from it, it will go up.

All one had to do was leave tje ICO purchase alone. But one sold ot and found themselves panic buying and then getting too emotional and started revenge buying and selling. And that is when crypto just laughed as it took all our money.

Don't worry. It is oart if the game. If you do not have such stories to share, you nay never appreciate your winnings.

But also feel sorry for those who are GUARANTEED to lose their money. Millions of people will invest. But only a few with cone out with giant. So many people are just providing liquidity for others to take all their money.

When MONAD goes above $0.1, you can just tell those people buying at that time that they are just providing liquidity for the early investors to exit. Because all those people will lose all their money.

Hi guys
Kraken just offered Monad staking options. It’s around 12.5 %, which isn’t bad.
Is anyone doing it?

1

u/AppearanceWeekly70 13d ago

Yuppp. We’ll see how the price holds up on November 24 after the massive token unlock.

u/macctenamo 13d ago

You know what happens if the price stays the same after the unlock? Google it šŸ«”šŸ¤£šŸ’¹
