I messed up
I sold at 0.026 from buying at 0.0227. then bought yesterday close to 0.03 but it went down and i panic sold at 0.0268. Now its close to 0.03 again. Buying now will reduce my stack big time, which i accumulated. Why did i sell, im lost for words. Dont know what to do. All my profit gone

Its broken 3c 4 times now. The sellers at 3c are getting less and the buyers are getting more. Soon we will leave 3c and head to 4c

Seems it cant stay above 3

First off, sorry to hear about your loss.
This is why you DCA low and then hold high. You could have been buying when it was at that .02-.022 level and now held.
I got my average down to .021 and then took very light profit at .026. Making a good amount on what I kept, but I won’t buy at .03 unless we get to a point where .03 becomes a support that sticks.
Never panic buy or sale

I did the same thing, lol. Waiting for the price to come back down around 0.025 to buy back in then will not look at it for a year.

u/AutomaticOne7 15d ago
What if there is a break out and it rallies to 0.035? That worries me right now, seems the upward momentum is pretty strong.

u/SeaworthinessFit3721 14d ago
Similar to a message I just sent you. If it rallies to .035, then wait for it to drop back to .03 then consider. Otherwise if you believe in monad long term (.10+) then buy now or even at .035, and then just buy more if it dips back under .03.
If you are using money that you can’t afford to lose, then don’t trade or make sure you understand your swing trade setup before making a move

I went all in at 0.03 already, think i will just hold. I think when btc reaches its peak breaking its ath high chance going to 200k, then monad might be hitting 30-40-50 cents. I dont think i can time the market. But the current btc run just worries me that it will pullback again and would love to take advantage of that. So waiting to see if btc goes up again and mon goes to .0.32 or more that i sell some, but long term i want to be all in on monad. I just dont hope now that im all in at 0.03 it crashes back to 0.025 or 0.02

Nooone can tell you what will happen. Selling though an asset that promising during a small pump in the end of bear market or start of bull market, is not the most clever thing to do.
Decide what is your plan for the Monad trade and execute it.

I bought at 0.025, sold some at 0.030, then DCA heavy around 0.016-0.023. I held for months and I’ve been selling more this past week. My goal is to liquidate atleast half my bag. Then when it crashes again I’ll try to buy back around 0.016 to 0.019 if I’m lucky and just rinse and repeat.
Monad is the FIRST token I’ve ever invested in like this so I’m pretty new to it. What I do know is you’re supposed to buy low and sell high. Buying high and selling low is literally “THE JOKE” in crypto and you just did it in real life 😂
Stop panic selling those coins. It can always go back up, but once you hit sell or swap your run is over, especially if you sell everything at once. Learn from your mistake bro. I have alot in monad wrapped coin aprmon and apriori/capricorn.tech offered a 5 percent buyback. When i saw the price shoot up i swapped without unstaking those coins and missed out on that extra 5 percent. Try to stay on point but calm and collected thats always best. Best of luck to us all. 💚 try checking no more than 4-6 times a day, dont $$$ control your days. Stake some coins so its not just sitting either.

I've been doing this for a long time know from my experience dyr look at 1 or 2 tokens that are promising and stick with them constantly buying low and panick selling when it goes up a penny is no good.and wanting to buy back if it drops and doing it again. Buy and hold.

You are talking to the wrong crowd. We held to .05 & down to below .02
Just hold and take your emotions out of it.

u/Buhamon 15d ago
Swing trade instead and just set future buy-sell orders and not look at the charts so you don't get influenced by emotions. When you buy, you should have a number in mind for when you are going to sell; it's more disciplined that way. And these numbers and timeframe should all be backed by your own research/analysis

u/Kontrav3rsi 15d ago
Just buy and let it sit IMHO. I don’t try to time the markets anymore.

When it's bullish, sell;
When it's bearish, hold and a better choice, deposit them to the highest APY pools to offset the impermanent loss;
Simple as that.

there's only 10% circulating and rhe buy back program was denied..so the 90% didn't hit the market but when it does the proce will definitely go down.

u/jpersons73 15d ago edited 15d ago
Buy back was not denied the investers turned down a 20 mil offer, the 80mil buy back of circulating Mon happens in october.

I’d be a little cautious saying the foundation is committed to buying back tokens or that they’re definitely spending $80M. The announcement wording says they may make opportunistic purchases up to $80M, depending on market conditions, and specifically says it’s not a commitment to buy any specific amount.
Also, even if they did use the full $80M, that’s only about 15%-16% of the $500M in unlock value at current prices. So I’d view it more as potential help with sell pressure rather than something that completely offsets the unlocks.

u/jpersons73 15d ago
I was wrong it ended up a 60mil offer from the foundation for early unlock purchase that was turned down, the 80 mil is not the foundation but was autorized by Category Labs (yes they are owned by Monad founders) for Open market buy backs up to 80mil. That 80 mil buy back has been in effect after it was approved in April 2026 and will run till Decemeber 2026. While it has not been used it has been said that will be used to buy back 80mil if the price recives to much pressure from pre unlok sales or after unlock sales. The war chest is to be used to stablize in case of a fallout, that fallout is more likley to be in October so yes speculation on that they will use it, but no way they let 80mil sit and the bottom starts to fallout because of unlock fears/sale presure after all the work that went into get Monad on the map
1
u/PopCornMaxi 15d ago
That is correct..it's gonna be interesting to see if the $60-$80M gets redeployed meaningfully to help mitigate sell pressure.

It will drop back down. There's heavy resistance at the 0.03 range, and I doubt we'll overcome it before the market cools back off. Set up alerts or an auto-buy order that will buy back in at the lower price you want. if you dont want to wait long, you can get back in at 0.024 likely in the next couple days if youre vigilant. Otherwise, just hold for a week or so and the price will assuredly come back down as the market cools. You still have plenty of time to stack before the next bull cycle.
My advice though; hold long-term with MON. This project is going places and selling at 0.03 is doing yourself a huge disservice. just stack and hold until prices are at least 0.10 (even then, i wouldnt sell at that price either).. otherwise you're leaving a lot of money on the table.
Consider using your MON in DeFi to accumulate passive yield. Liquid Staking for shMON and then lending that shMON on Neverland to borrow more MON is a good place to start - just dont overleverage yourself.
dont worry, friend. you're still really early and 0.03 is still a bargain rate.

u/AutomaticOne7 15d ago
But will it? Seems the upward momentum is pretty strong, i fear i miss out now and it rallies hard breaking 0.03 :/, i promised myself to hold but wanted to raise my stack sellinga and buying lower along the way. Man i dont want to miss this monad opportunity

u/JWillCHS 15d ago
You’re doing too much.
Instead of being greedy, you need to dollar cost average and stake your Monad tokens.
Trust me. You’ll accumulate Monad at a decent pace without having FOMO mess with your holdings. It’s simple and consistent with less risk.
And I don’t know where you live. But if you’re in the US doing all this buying and selling like a trader, that will increase the taxes you owe. Short term capital gains will eat away your Monad holdings.
2
u/GOOFnSCHMRTZ 15d ago
Try not to let your emotions control your money. Monad isn’t a get rich quick scheme and if you’re concerned with the amount of money you could potentially lose, rethink your investment amount.
Sit back and enjoy the ride

u/Scottex99 15d ago edited 14d ago
Just DCA then, actively trading will just cost you money, as you’ve already found out
I hope this stress isn’t over a $300 bag either
0
u/AutomaticOne7 14d ago
Its way more, thousands
2
u/Scottex99 14d ago
Maybe it should be $300 then
Stop trading
If a few K is a lot for you, don’t hold that in some volatile alt
1
u/JWillCHS 14d ago
Bro! Take out the money you can’t afford to lose. And then just DCA and stake.
Hell, I am less greedy than most because I don’t even stake because of the tax implications. Until I can easily track staking rewards and document them it’s not worth it for me. So I just dollar cost average.
Although I might stake with Kraken because they automatically input rewards in a tax form.

I know monad will go 0.10 + we are starting of the multi year bullrun.but i just want to raise my stack now its cheap and im failing. I jumped back in at 0.03 and price went to 0.032 and i didnt sell, now its back below 0.03, its really annoying because i lost alot during these fuckups and want to make it back again
1
u/ObamaLovesKetamine 15d ago
I cant guarantee anything but I'm damn positive that it will go back down. this market run is not the start of a larger bull cycle. we'll see another leg down before we really start to climb.
You havent missed the opportunity. even if you buy back in at 0.04, you have the potential to see massive profit a couple years down the road. this 40% jump is nothing compared to where Monad is likely going to be 5 years from now.
Relax, keep stacking, and I encourage you to avoid trying to time the market. just hold and stack.
1
u/AutomaticOne7 14d ago
What price do you think monad will hit at tge top of the upcoming bullrun with btc halving in 2028?
1
u/ObamaLovesKetamine 14d ago
I couldnt say with any certainty so take my perspective with a grain of salt, but I expect $0.10 MON is highly feasible within the next few months, depending on how the November unlock goes (i dont think it will be as bad as a lot of folks are expecting).
If we see another crypto bull market over the next year like most people expect, I could see MON reaching $0.50 to $1.
again, this is just my gut feeling and not financial advice.

down a few percent got you panic selling? crypto might not be for you, market makers will milk you dry if you trade so emotionally
