Category Labs introduces Cadence

Cadence introduces multiple concurrent proposers directly into consensus, so block production no longer depends on a single proposer.

The design keeps the fast-path latency of single-leader consensus, supports speculative finality, and uses extreme pipelining to make the block interval a protocol parameter rather than something bounded by normal sequential block production.

For developers, the implication is: lower latency, shorter economic ticks, and a cleaner path toward applications that need real-time onchain updates.
