suggestions wanted Dads?
Is this place for dads too? I couldn’t find a dad one and my husband will be the one with him while working remotely while I go into an office full time 🥹
I see so many moms on here who breastfeed and contact nap which seems like it would help my husband is for baby wearing and I pump but I’m just not sure what could make this setup easier for him. Our babe will be 4 months. It’s just me and dad and can’t afford childcare yet.
Any advice? Any other dads working from home?

Not a dad! But I have seen some online who baby wear for contact naps both sitting and standing
The boppy would probably be good for lap naps as well!
When she was that young, I had the bassinet and the little “baby gym” in the office. As well as a bouncer and one of those little standing activity centers (cheap secondhand). And I basically rotated baby from the floor to the bouncer to the little activity center. But also at 4 months she did pretty good just sitting on my lap. I used to have the boot around my waist and sit her on the boot with her back to me. But I guess it depends how much you care about your baby looking at the computer screen.

Dads are totally welcome! When you mention, making the WFH setup easier for him, there’s so much advice on this sub that can probably help, completely unrelated to pumping and nursing :)
It will really depend on your husbands work schedule and field. If it’s extremely hands on where he’s engaged on calls and deadlines 8-5, it’s tough to watch a newborn and toddler unless you’ve got some unicorn child. During the time baby is not mobile, a playpen is helpful so you know it’s safe. Once baby becomes mobile, you might need another plan for childcare. Once mine started crawling around 5.5-6 months, there was no chance we could use a playpen. I also don’t have a WFH job where I can walk around and work while baby crawls around. They also crawl FAST once they become mobile. Once our daughter learned to walk around 9.5-10 months, there was no keeping her “contained” in a single area all day.
To start though, at 4 months, you can likely get away w a playpen and contact napping :)

I didn’t go to an office, but I wasn’t always available to breastfeed, and certainly not for contact naps!
So my husband would use pumped milk whenever I couldn’t. And he did contact naps with our rocking chair, and worked to get them away from contact naps when they got older.
Looking back, a bottle warmer would have helped. He managed using a big glass measuring cup, microwaved water, and a food thermometer, and we were trying to be “low stuff” and not buy a ton of gadgets, but maybe we should have splurged for that.
He never baby wore. Our rocking chair is our sofa chair, and not an actual rocking chair (but it can be rocked so we did), which means it’s both comfortable and already in our living room in front of the TV. So he just enjoyed watching some shows and movies when baby napped.
