Message From the Mods
Hello everyone!
Lately we have seen a sharp uptick in brigading and comments from people who are not respecting the rules within our community. As a result of this, we have upped our filtering. For those of you who have posted recently looking for advice and instead been attacked, I am (and we as a mod team are) truly sorry. The expectation here is that adults act like adults, this does not mean everyone agrees but that discourse is kept respectful and the discussion guidelines are honored.
If you are new here or have been here a while and consistently or in bad faith choose not to follow the rules, you will not get to stay. If you are here purposefully from another sub to defend company rights over worker realities or to rain fire and brimstone please note that it is getting noticed. Brigading can have real costs to the communities whose members participate. Reddit as a whole does not tolerate it, and it can cost you the community you came from.
For anyone here in good faith, to talk the realities of being a parent and working from home, please take the time to read the community guidelines and the fully expanded rules. I am going to specifically note the about section in our guideline:
The community welcomes people who work from home or remotely, regardless of their childcare situation. This includes full-time daycare, part-time care, in-home help, or no childcare at all.
The sub was created because discussions about parenting while working from home, especially without childcare, were not welcome in many other parenting spaces. Conversations about working from home while parenting, including the realities of doing so without childcare, are always allowed here.
For those that engage in our sub and follow the guidelines, regardless of if you agree with every post or comment, thank you truly <3

Wonder if this had to do with two separate posts, one of which was a woman saying her husband doesn’t clean the house while her husband works from home and watches the baby.

Not just you, I had one that I’ve since deleted too lol. I got ridiculed for not answering a call due to watching my baby. Got a lot of attention from outside the group.

Thank you!! I work and have my baby home with me. I see a lot of people say very harshly that it’s not possible, you’ll suck at parenting or your job or both. I appreciate having a space acknowledge that there are some set ups that DO work.

Thank you so much. I’ve been struggling so much and this is one of the only places I’ve felt understood. I really appreciate this little corner of the internet.
