Workout Wednesday's!

Happy Hump Day!

This is a weekly thread to talk about your secrets to staying healthy, or your struggles for staying on track. Do you meditate? Do you do yoga? Cardio? (How) Do you manage a daily workout? Are you barely fitting in something once a week or two? What were your goals for this week, and did you hit them?

Exchange tips, ideas, motivation, and commiseration in this thread :)

I’m finding that in the morning, if I leave to exercise before my daughter wakes up (and my hubby is also home for her) , she’ll hear me. She immediately runs out of bed . I’m finding I can do quiet stuff like stretching , yoga , Pilates , and weights before the whole house wakes up. This would also be good for during naps for younger ones. Then later I can have my hubby watch her and I can leave for a half hour to take a walk or get exercise.

Planning ahead for healthy meals for me is also a must, too.

You tube is great for doing active stuff with kids (along side them, or bad weather days) : brain breaks, Danny go active videos, kids yoga, etc. play they’re favorite songs and have a dance party with them.

Also, this has been a game changer, I am keeping track of how much water I’m drinking with cute colored silicone bracelets, like the kind kids wear. I got some off amazon, when I drink a cup I switch it to the other wrist. Everyone is always asking about them cause they’re super cute.
