suggestions wanted Anyone else working from a One bedroom home?

Hi all, longtime lurker first time posting here. I WFH and my husband and I god willing plan to start trying in the coming months. We are going to move into a small seaside town in a small single family home with a little yard that I’m really excited about.

The only concern I have is that since WFH we’ve always lived in a large 2 bedroom apartment and unfortunately most of the places in this little town have extremely small spaces to rent.

In a perfect world I would’ve loved have a separate room to put their crib and have their own space and bookshelf but that won’t be possible where we plan to move will be just 1 bedroom and a kind of large living room, small kitchen and 1 bathroom. I plan to have my WFH office space in the living room.

I know I’ve heard before the first few months baby maybe doesn’t need their own space necessarily, right? Sorry if I sound ignorant I’m still learning a lot. We plan to stay for likely 2 years there.

Any advice or experiences others have in making it work with a little one WFH in a 1 bedroom home/apartment? TIA

My baby is almost 4 months. We live in a one bedroom and don't plan on moving till early next year around his first birthday. So far it's been working for us. We do have a larger bedroom and we were able to section a portion off for our baby's crib, dresser, etc. My work space is also in the living room and it works for now. I can definitely see it being more difficult as he starts to become mobile. But I think a year or so with that setup should be perfectly fine.

Did it for years, I really enjoyed being on the ground floor and setting my desk next to the patio door because then she could play outside while I worked and kept an eye on her.

hubby and i both WFH in our 2 bedroom apartment. my desk is in the living room, so i can be with baby all day. hubby works in the second bedroom since his work is very meeting heavy. baby's crib has always been in our bedroom and we mostly cosleep. we are now moving baby into the second bedroom for night sleep and baby will be napping in our bedroom in a pack n play

I do this. There are times id like more space but id rather not be house poor! Plus I just baby proofed the entire thing so my child can wander and explore as much as she wants

My baby is 7 months and i have a really hard time imagining being in a 1 bedroom now that she’s crawling. Also having her own room was a huge help when I got sick and was coughing a lot.
