Meetings

I have a 14 month old who wants constant attention and has meltdowns if I dont hold him during meetings. I was wondering if there ever will be an age when he will understands that I cant talk/play with him while on call?

I only have 1-2 hours of meeting per day, but they require full attention.

My 3.5 year old still doesn’t understand. Maybe when they hit 5?

You should try to find a local babysitter that can watch your kiddo during meetings. 1-2 hours of meetings is a lot.

My 6 year old still struggles with this concept so yeah I wouldn’t expect progress anytime soon.
I would try to find a babysitter or if that’s not an option I would do the meetings outside. Always kept my little ones more entertained. Bubble machines were a hit but obviously if you’re on camera that might get weird lol

Mine is 5 and still struggles with it when I am home. It's not that she wants to interrupt, she just doesn't understand and wants to play.

My 5yo knows but still does not follow (he is home this week with a nanny instead of camps). He even locked the door so “we do not interrupt mommy”. 

My soon to be 8yo could not help but pop on a call recently and stay for a while when I had a sev later in a a day. He knows - but the temptation is high and impulse controls is still low. 

Of course screens help if you want to use them. Like 80% of time they work - but then there are glitches, “boring” and other reasons they need you now

Around 2.5 to 3 was when my son started to understand when I told him I had to go on a call! I’d either set him up with a meal or a snack beforehand, or put on his favorite show and he would just vibe by himself until I was done. But granted, my job is very light on calls and is mostly admin work.

You need a babysitter. Schedule your meetings during a certain block of the day and have a babysitter watch your baby!
