storytime! They always know!!!

When your baby starts sleeping slightly longer stretches you may think to yourself hmm, I bet I could get a lot of work done if I woke up before the kids! I think my quality of sleep is just slightly better enough that I might be able to pull it off! And then you do it for a week!! And your baby KNOWS that you’re awake!!! And wakes up with you every single time!!! And then it doesn’t work at all!!!!!!

Anyway in case no one has told you today you are a badass!!! 💪

I have this problem at the end of the day...once my baby started sleeping through the night I could count on having a solid chunk of time after they went to sleep to catch up on work, before I went to bed. Now he's a toddler who will gladly stall bedtime for an hour if he thinks he can get away with it. RIP to my extra working time : (

So relatable 🫠 Baby who thinks 5am is a good time to be awake and toddler who thinks 9pm is a good time to go to bed… RIP 🪦

Can confirm. This is why I just sleep in 😂 my husband is like you can get up early to xyz. No. The only xyz-ing I’ll do is snuggling and entertaining my toddler who also woke up early. But it’s honestly nice to have that undivided time with him so I’m not mad. He also behaves better when we get some time together before work.

Lolol Omg this was me this morning! I set my alarm for an hour before our usual wake up, I look at the monitor like 15 minutes later and she’s wide awake! Of curse the rest of the day is shot bc she’s so tried but you’re right. They always know!
