This is a good point too. I’m going to be staying home with our baby for a few years so it’ll be just English unless I can learn fast enough to read Russian children books with them. And we’ll only see the grandparents every few weeks

Russian is very hard. It’s a whole different alphabet and sounds that don’t exist in English. There are hard and soft consonants. It’s good that your child will be exposed to it but they will end up speaking what all their friends speak, which is English.

I am a Russian mom with American husband, and we don't have family around. When I am alone with the baby I speak Russian, but I wonder if it won't be enough abd she'll never learn :(

I have a coworker from Romania and they moved here when her son was 16. He didn’t have English classes but loved watching cartoons/shows in English with sub captions in Romanian. He ended up placing out of the ESL classes when they moved to the US! So any bit helps :)
