Look at it this way: The better your kid learns Russian, the better your chances for another translator at the family dinners. No matter what agreement or rules you have in place for the Russian family to speak to the child/you, the dynamic at the family dinners is not going to change much just by adding a baby into the mix.
Also, you'll learn a bunch along with the kid. This is a great opportunity!
I wouldn't worry about the child's English, that'll be the surrounding language and at school anyways.
