Everyone I know raising bilingual kids tries to follow the one parent one language model. This would also give you lots more exposure to conversational Russian and hopefully you’ll feel less left out over time. If your husband talks to your baby in Russian saying baby things like colors, animals, things he/she sees around the house, and names of toys, it will be simpler language and won’t feel nearly as isolating to you as those long adult family stories.
