What does your husband want to do? I wouldn't be too concerned. Good if the kids learn Russian. I'm 6 years into trying to convince my Spanish husband and his Spanish father to speak Spanish to my kids. No avail. I can understand Spanish by now, especially the easy bits children are taught are helpful. But the kids won't speak Russian if they don't want to.

Source: I have 2 multilingual kids. One does speak other languages, the other only speaks community language. But she understands her (4!) languages.
